Fastest way to get an answer to your question is this:

Use the search forum function. Type in the keyword and the select the appropriate subforum(s) for your search. Take a gander and see if you can't find your solution in there.

This is the best, fastest, and least annoying way for you to discover the answer to all your problems. If you can't find your solution posted up in these forums, that's when you post.

I'm not saying this because it's the rules. I'm actually telling you because it IS actually the fastest way to get your answer. I use the search forum the majority of the type.

So, I can answer your imported files question, to a lesser degree. First things first, you can't attach skins to units. You attach a skin to a model, then a model to a unit.

If you want to apply a skin, you find out the path you need to put the skin as, then double click the skin's name in the Import Editor window and replace it's path "Path\NextPath\Skin.blp" to the recommended path name.

If you don't know the recommended path name, but have an idea of what unit's skin the new skin replaces, get War3Viewer go to View>Find in MPQ and type in the name of the unit you're trying to replace. One of the files will be a .blp and is likely what you're trying to replace. (But if it's WC3 TFT then you gotta click File>Open MPQ>GotoyourWarcraft3Directory>Click War3x.mpg.)

If it's a model with a texture included, find out the proper path of the texture (A texture is typically just a skin) by opening the readme file or checking the instructions for importing that was included somewhere with the model (Could even be on the webpage it's linked from) then set the texture properly. Alternatively, if you try to open the .mdx with Magos Model Editor, and the skin isn't in the right place, you'll get an error telling you the proper path.

My suggestion is to get Magos Model Editor so that you can preview all downloads you get, to ensure they're what you wanted.

I've got an efficient BNet map making tutorial, but it doesn't include import instructions. However it may be valuable for Map Makers who are new, as it tells you tools to make your Map Making more efficient, and how to decrease absurdly high file sizes down to managable amounts.

As for the save/load system, take a look at Vexorian's Save/Load system. He hides at wc3campaigns.net. (A good place for quality tools, models and skins)

well ill try to help....although it in the wrong topic >>triggers

a) event-time elapsed equal to 1.00 sec (change to what you want)
condition
action-set (point) to (your region)
-unit group pick every unit in (hostile creeps) and change ownership to (neutral hostile) and change color.
-unit group pick every unit in (hostile creeps) and move them instantly to (your region)
-call distroylocation (your region)

b)event-map initialization
action-send transmition from (your unit) to (all players) for 30sec play (your sound) and display (your text)

c) assuming you playing more than 1 player it is extremely hard else u just use the game cache.

2. check the file path of your models u need to use custom path for all the blp files according to the maker instruction....than try restarting WE

3. hope it fast enought

Read tutorials. Read tutorials. Read tutorials. Read FAQs. Read FAQs. Read FAQs.

Download others work. Read their work. Read their work. Make changes. Test it. Test it. Test it.

TLDR: This stuff doesn't get spoon fed to you. Get your hands wet.
