AI files don't import properly in Newgen

I want to import an AI file for my map, but usually, when you import the AI file, you get two files in the import manager: the .ai and the .wai. I need the .ai to make the AI work, but in Newgen's Import Manager, only the .wai file appears. How can I solve this?

why don't you just extract the .ai in normal editor and import only that? the .wai is not needed so it only wastes space

Well, it won't save in the normal editor because I exceded the maximum number of doodads by say... 4000?

Bruh. Also don't use NewGen any more, it's massively out of date and not being developed or supported by anyone.
