Bloodsail Buccaneers

"Some time after the discovery of the Dragon Isles, on a pirate ship in the Shrouded Coast of the Forbidden Reach, a book mentioned that the Bloodsail Buccaneers are welcomed to sail under the flag of Nightsquall's crew, who aims to build the biggest pirate fleet Azeroth has ever known. The volunteers are invited to travel to the Dragon Isles and to plunder its secrets in the name of Dread Admiral Nightsquall." Source: Bloodsail Buccaneers

They turned to the enigmatic Ravenholdt Manor, a secretive organization skilled in espionage and subterfuge. Recognizing the potential benefits of such an alliance, the Bloodsail Buccaneers struck a pact with them, offering their vast naval prowess in exchange for the assistance of the Manor's skilled operatives.
Amani Tribe (Race - Discontinued)

"Members of the Amani live in the enclave of Tal'aman, located at the Port of Zandalar in Zuldazar. They are resistant to the idea of the Horde allying with Zandalar, even going as far as to become hostile over it, but remain subservient to the Empire regardless..." Source: Amani Tribe

Amidst the shadows and intrigues, the Amani Trolls watched with growing unease as the Zandalari Empire forged an unlikely friendship with the detested Blood Elves. Fearing dependency on the Zandalari, the Amani sought to break free from the empire's influence and regain their autonomy.

Uncrowned (Mercenary Camp - Discontinued)
The Uncrowned is an organization that works behind the scenes, and which already existed before the events of the third invasion of the Burning Legion, the organization is described by Lord Jorach Ravenholdt as "the slayers of kings, the downfall of empires, the unseen blades that write the true history of this world." Unbeknownst to them, the Uncrowned shared similar concerns about power and manipulation, thus leading them to secretly use aid the the two factions in their endeavors.

Minor:
- Added a new ability for Uncrowned Buildings
- Fix the missing neutral camp
- 4 Neutral camp inhabitants was change to 3 Stranglethorn Tiger
- Reduced the damage base of units by 2 (might also reduce it more with armor and health)
- Reduced the movement speed of Uncrowned units

* Added an AI for the Uncrowned Race, which can be set by selecting Human for a Computer and setting its handicap by 90

One thing I find interesting for this faction: is it intentional to not have a defense tower of any sort? It is difficult to juggle between attack and defend without them or any defense mechanisms in hand.
I really wanna make them a faction that could easily overpower enemy during the early stages on the game. Their only defense is the passive ability the buildings has which triggers a bomb(will improve that soon though) unlike the quilboar race I tried making them into having a weak late game presence.

The race have basically undergone a design change from "Uncrowned: Bloodsail" to just "Bloodsail Buccaneers".
This changed allow for more pirate themed units to be added. Also, from one aerial unit the race have three now.

  • Remove Uncrowned Champion from the race and added to the Mercenary Camp as Kingslayer
  • Commodore Hero was added
  • Deckhand, Pirate, Skyraider was added

  • Also, Kingslayer's Engulfing Shadows and the Booty Bomb triggers twice this is due to some bugs in the trigger system, my attempts to fix it made it worse so I have decided to just incorporate it. Cause everybody deserves a second chance right?


For the Amani Trolls, I'm stuck on how should I differentiate it from existing Troll race maps in the community.
Maybe, I'll introduce it as 'modern' troll race since they have decided to adapt technologies from their various enemies.
All is a plan though.
Really wanted to update the map after the concept of an Uncrowned Mercenary Camp was actualized but my break is ending (did absent for a week tho) hehe.
