:3 Okay then. I'm quite satisfied with my system anyways - i'll keep it for my own purposes, then. Uh, anything else you need help with? i'm quite curious about the talent system - what do you want it to be like? a WoW replica?

oh dont get it wrong I will be using your system, I'll just be creating a full screen to take items out by clicking buttons :)

And yeah like WoW, just 2 trees though, You will learn abilities from it.
 
:D I'm ever so happy. ... no, that's a bit too much. i'm reading this VERY british comic atm... Okay - let's see what could be done with those trees.

EDIT: I've come to realise, that whatever i can do, won't fit all that well with your expectations - i'm sure i'll never strike them well enough. Can you do it yourself? then everything'll be as you want it. 'since i think you want custom interface to pop up. - and i'm not willing to learn that any time soon...

Well for the talent tree I think it will be easier for me to make once I get a basic drawing done out.

And can you do spells??
 
I just need some defender spells that are calculated by level of ability, level of unit, and strength :)
Just need like 10 spells, that look awesome and are leakless I'm not too picky when it comes to this, but if there is a special effect that I don't necessarily like that you use with the spell I'll simply just ask to change the model which is very simple or I could do it myself. xD

like some sort of shield bash, and level 2 has a chance to hit an additional target, and level 3 has a chance to increase block chance by 10% for a certain amount of time. the talent tree will also be going a long with the abilities controlling their levels but max level for each ability should be 3 to 4 :)

Seriously I'm not picky when it comes to this, I just want it to be mostly triggers, for easy modifications.

right now the barbarian side of the tree has a jump slam, AoE knock back, charge, and a passive chance to counter.

warrior = Barbarian/Defender about 8 spells needed on each side.

other class to start thinking about is monk = holy/martial arts trees

and templar = magic/combat :)
 
Hahaha, yeah - i've already finished shield slam a 'stand your ground' spell, and a howl of the brave / resounding roar - not sure of what to call it. So! Do you have a 'blocking' system, or may i create one - and if so, are you going to be needing evasion? 'cause it's so easy to create such a system, if you just change the word 'miss' to 'blocked' we could of course, also use the non-showing mountain giant 'hardened skin' - or something as block - but i need a blocking ability to create better, and more varied defender abilities - they're getting dull...
 
Yeah we need a blocking system, and do you know how to make a damage detection system? right now I just installed the_Witcher's camera system. lol it works so smoothly. as well as my own quest system. :) made the ! and the ? show up for individual players.
I was thinking about a defender ability that draws near by units into you like sucks them to you and then you do a quick slick that hits them all and then they are forced to attack you. Causes high threat or what ever lol which reminds me, my threat system is retarted xD I through it out hashtables aren't my thing.
 
Yeah, hashtables suck - uh, to create a truly epic system, i gotta use the units' custom value to create unit libraries - makes hashtables almost obsolete, i say. Well, it simply is giving each unit a number, writing it in their custom value, and then making variable arrays, where the array number will be that unit's custom value - this reaaaally helps any map. So! Are you using evasion, or what? do you want the icon to be shown? or hardened skin? (Shown?)

Thieves Den: Underground cave 3 bosses.

Misty Cavers: Underground cavers, watery area, waterfalls inside, 4 bosses.

just need concept piece to go off of :) for the terrain mostly xD
 
Uh - don't you mean caverns? - and also, what kind of dungeon systems will you be applying - remember the one i made for AL3? som'in like that?

yeah caverns sorry lol been frustrated lately with life and trying to get things done.

It will be similar yes. But I'm not using hero units for this map I'll be making difficulties instead Easy, experienced, hard for dungeons which can be changed ingame as long as the dungeon is empty

So would you like do work on monk spells? and if so Combat, holy or both types?

Didn't you say that you just designed spells? not actually make them?

I think he was talking about designing heros o_O but I might be wrong lol

If you can think of any other spells let me know...
But Monks are going to be using fist weapons and staves, so there combat spells are mostly going to be close range like exploding palm for example used in Diablo 3 wc3, but we wont copy that :)

I would like to have a spell where the monk raises into the air (meditation) and then releases energy causing damage and causing all targets arround the monk to get knocked back if they are close (close as in 100)
all spells should have Damage that is a variable so I can easily edit it with my custom stat system.

Another spell might be where the monk attacks the target at a fast pace (but not just increased speed) and damages an aditional target to 50% of damage done to the initial target might call it second wind.
