For some context, 50 grams is also the weight of a single strawberry! The reason for this weight is that most Internet data is stored within electric pulses and binary which, theoretically, can weigh down electronics ever so slightly.

Even with it weighing so little, it is estimated that the size of the Internet is about 5 million terabytes and Google has only been able to record and file .004% of all of that information!

it is not correct to say that it weighs 50 grams because those 50 grams have to be stored on something which weighs a lot more otherwise it loses its value.

So, the internet might weigh those 50 grams, but the means to remain it weigh more. Indeed they are neccessary, but they /are/ not the internet, they just support it.

Still, awesome to have this knowledge :p
