Facebook has nothing to do with smartness, it's only a social internet site. The smartness has something to do with the people having signed in on facebook, and the intelligence of these people of course vary from retarded subjects to überly smart individuals, so such a generalization might not work. Besides, I believe all the people in here have facebook accounts, so you're kind of saying that you yourself are dumb x)

Perhaps they are just numbers, nobody can prove his thoughts as he is now dead.
HOWEVER, the hyper-intelligent race that built the machine to calculate the answer, which then commissioned them to use the Earth to make sense of the answer, thought that the question was forever lost with the destruction of the Earth, but this was the entire point. The 'Vogons' didn't eliminate the calculations by destroying Earth, they actually finished the calculations.
"What is the meaning of life?" they asked, and boom, everybody on Earth died.
Say what you want, but that's a pretty straightforward answer :b
