test maps offline - reforged

hey there,

after holding out untill now, I finally caved and reforged. Is there a way to test maps on reforged without connecting to Bnet? as someone who mostly mods, this seems crazy and makes it very annoying to trigger and de-bug maps when it takes plural minutes just to open and test a map. Is there any way around this, and if not is it on the list of things to ask blizz to fix?

There isn't. The fastest way to test now is to keep a seperate tab of the WC3 game open, and start games from there.

I wouldn't expect it. It's just the way their DRM works.

I would heartily recommend you to refund this product. If you still have the classic keys, there is no benefit to pay for reforged graphics, and reward Blizzard for this atrocity.

I am not paying for reforged. used RoC code I bought 20? years ago...

For testing maps offline, turn off your internet connection and hit test map. Once you reach the game menu, an error window might pop up. Ignore it and hit the offline button. This worked for me. It is just two button clicks more than usual.

I tried that, wasn't able to successfully open the map. but I guess it's just my pc then.

That doesn't help, because it will still attempt to find a connection (lion's gate sequence), which will take exactly as long as if you were connected to the internet.

IIRC there might be an "offline mode" option somewhere in the blizzard app. See if you can find that.
