[Solved] Team upgrades for summoned units

Hey, I have an undead team I am making that summons most its units instead of training like normal, but I have found a particular challenge. I still want to use team upgrades, but it seems some of those don't apply to summoned units, even if they have the upgrade in the "Researches Used" data field.
I have tested, and typical attack and defense upgrades seem to work, but something like the Orc's Berserker Strength upgrade for Grunts isn't applying.

Is there something I am missing that can make it apply? Or am I going to need to use triggers

Nevermind. Embarrassingly, I realize that I had not actually had the corresponding upgrade available and researched in the test.
