Well no official testers I'm leaving he demo open to everyone to test and as for bugs I'll fix them as people point them out it's time consuming enough as it is testing the maps themselves that I can't meticulously scan every single one of my own maps as effective or not it might be.

Hi Footman,

Just want to say the demo is pretty good. I'm sure the final version will be awesome, keep up the good work. I played the updated demo again. My first suggestion would be skip-able dialogues/cinematic. Below are some bugs I've found and some suggestions.

Chapter 1:
Orc Heros were not revive-able.
Orc seems to stop attacking after the Hero/Leader was taken out. They do produce to replace lost units and defend when I attack, but they don't take offensive by trying to destroy my base. (Maybe because the enemy heroes do level-up and the given gold/lumber are not enough to revive them?)
Suggestion(s) – allow orcs to gradually upgrade weapon/armor/fortification to increase difficulty; boss fights at the end would be awesome (separate area with the Hero and enemy Hero only); allow enemy to expand to other mining areas and re-expand after one of its expansions is destroyed.

Chapter 2:
Enemy orcs do not take offensive at all; they just stand there waiting for me to build a strong enough army and slaughter them. I built some towers at main base but they were such a waste except to lure a few nearby orcs to the guard towers at the beginning.
Dead enemy heroes are not revive-able
Suggestion(s) – Incorporate smart AI, that maybe too difficult to handle 5 enemies; maybe have an ally base to assist (computer controlled) similar to the next chapter; slower exp gain for Hero, I capped at level 4 after a few minutes into the map… destroying just the first base out of 5.

Chapter 3:
No comment on this one; it seems straight forward. Just one thing, the items from previous chapter do not transfer over to this map. This is fine since it is a demo, I’m sure it will be fixed in the final version.

Chapter 4:
Lost all items again…. stats gained from tomes in previous chapters were lost. This chapter is buggy.

I chose not to side with the Orc – I’m stuck at “blockade the orcs by taking the gnoll’s gold mine” main quest. I took over the mine by building a town hall, some towers, and farms but nothing happened. I was unable to complete map after killing everything on the map.
Notes: Red Orc doesn’t go offensive at all.

I chose to side with the Orc – the pack horse traveled oddly, some travel forward then back to the orc base and stay there permanently… while others travel half-way then stand still. Perhaps the commands to move/stop/return can help solve this problem. I wiped everything out but still cannot achieve victory.

The storyline, plot, music are awesome but the difficulty/technical part is also important keep players entertained. Also, I do have the most up-to-date version of WC. Keep doing what you are doing and I can't wait to play the entire campaign :)

Ok yeah, you might have missed that earlier on I said that chapter 2 wouldn't have an AI but the triggers are alright so that's fine; the AI will be there on the final version.

As for the game cache, that will be sorted for the final release. As for the chapter 1 AI? It worked fine for me but I'll take into account what you've said.

And finally, yeah chapter 4 had the possibility to be pretty buggy. I'll try to get it fixed soon.

If everything had been finished, AIs, bug free etc I'm sure the technical part would've been better. Thanks for the review +rep.

Update
With the release of Forsaken's http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/maps-564/tides-war-250355/ I have decided to use the fortnight I have of spare time to resume work on this campaign. In part due to me not having worked on it for a while I have no idea where to continue work from. Rest assured I will be doing as much as I can and will hope to have more information soon.

Hello, I encountered a bit of a problem on chapter four. While escorting the caravans to the outpost the elves came by and just attacked the caravan. This killed the grunt and ended up with me not being able to escort the next caravan group to the outpost.

And something weird for chapter three when the objectives first show it says, "Jaina and Isten must survive," but in the objectives screen it says the right name.

Update
Right guys, I thought since it's been a long time since I've updated this I'd kick it back into gear, rest assured the project is still going ahead. In fact, I've got a general idea of how all the campaigns will fit into each other as they will all play a role in the general story: The Alliance, it's members and their struggles. Anyway if you wish to show your support then you can help by nominating this "project" here:

Hey Footman16 are u almost finished with the first one the Conquest of an Island? I really like the demo even though there's some problems with it (it is after all a demo lol) looking forward to the Tales of the Alliance when it's finished :) especially the High Elves and also ur gonna put some secrets in ur campaigns right?

There will be some secrets. I've only really started adding secrets to the later maps I've been working on. As for CoI, it is near completion but I'm not happy with some of the later missions/maps so I'm going to redo them. I'm also working on three of the campaigns simultaneously so that I can get the most done.

I will add a little timeline on the front page of where all the campaigns fit in.

Can you shed some light on the High Elf campaign? Will they settle in an area creating their own little kingdom? That would be awesome. :D

Well, the High Elf campaign is a bit of a sequel to CoI and it will involve the Blood Elves including my custom races that you can find in the maps section.

I won't reveal the exact situation about their "kingdom" but it will already be established by their campaign. Their campaign will take place mainly in Quel'thalas that I will say.

I'm ready to do some testing for you if you need any - I play mainly custom campaigns and I'm a maker of one, and I've got plenty of time do help you. I like when people make their own lore, especially Alliance-centered (good ol' Allys got so little development in WoW times), so I'm more than willing to help.

When any of the campaigns reaches release stage I'll probably do a little bit of testing on it for the public so when I get there I'll see if I need any help, I appreciate the offer.

That was one of the reasons I started this, that and boredom.

Ah ok. :D

Hmm..I guess it will revolve around Blood Elves chasing the High Elves out of Quel'thalas.

I can`t wait to see what place you chose for them to settle.

Yeah, I`ve seen your races, they are very well done. :D

What campaign you are working on now?

Sure they did, we spent the majority of time in Alliance cities helping Alliance heroes with the exception Cataclysm and Pandaria.

Right now I'm working mainly on the campaign with the abbreviation LL in the timeline, I had to add it to make sure that all the backstories and campaigns were established and connected.
Cool.

You are very talented, your campaigns will be awesome.

Oh by the way, could you change the hitpoints of tree? That way the workers could collect more wood before the tree is removed.I hate it when half the map`s trees are gone. :D
And some extra gold in the mines. :p

Cheers !!! :D

Funny you mention that as in one of the maps in the campaign I'm working on you have to build your base on a small island where the trees were few in number so I had to increase their hp.

Here's something I've tried to add with all the maps, is make them all as accurate as possible to their WoW version apart from the purely fictional locations of course. For example in the Hillsbrad Foothills the rough shape and spacing of all the places is accurate and you can kind of tell where it is.

I'm wondering why u plan on putting SOTL (survivors of the light) before the third war. I thought that they didn't join the Alliance till the Burning Crusade? (keep up the good work :D)

Well, i really like this campaign, the story is really good and well done, i've played the demo a time ago, and i really liked, but there is some things, that i still can see in this screenshots that need to be improved, like the terrain, it's looks too empty, it has a good tile variation, but doodads, environment, there is nothing, it's ruins a bit the gameplay(at least for me) Also, units with aura, is stranger for campaign(or for others maps), if you train many of them, the army looks too full of effects. And the last thing, the Ranger spells, you can change, or rework them, the name and icons, make something more elfish. It's just some advices, for this campaign be better than already is! :)

Good luck!

About the emptiness it's not actually like that, only those screenshots capture very small parts of the larger scene as it were. The first screenshot is actually in boundary so I can't place too many units or doodads in it and the third is in the ruins of a base so, their is only really details round the edges but rest assured. I'll upload some screenshots that show off the more "artistic" parts of the maps.

Maybe a campaign u could do is one about the argent dawn? maybe around wrath of the lich king times or in the plague lands or anything really because i mean pretty much part of the alliance because there goal is to make lordaeron again which was in the alliance and i think they battle the forsaken and there in the horde. so maybe this could work and a argent dwwn race would be pretty cool.
