I think that there should be a limit to the file size of the skin you submit. Having giant skins are unnecessary considering the amount of detail wc3 can display. I'm not talking about hi-resolution, I'm talking about skins with a file size over 1 megabyte. Although one could resize the skin themselves, but its really unnecessary to have the file that big in the first place. Any suggestions?

I agree, even though I think 1 MB is too much. When I use custom skins, I usually resize them till use below 100 KB, and I for one can't see any changes in detail.

The same rule should apply for models, looking on some of Mc !'s models people can see that a model using Blizzard skins, and looking good in-game can takes less than 50 KB.

I would support such a rule.

I would support it for skins, because there are people who post unnecessarily big skins. However, I wouldn't agree with it for models, like Blade.dk suggested. Heh, but it was a suggestion for skins so why am I bothering to enter into models?

Uhm, bad expression, I meant custom skins used by models. But hey, a limit on the models themselve would be a good idea aswell, most people (including me) don't have modelling tool and are therefore not capable of redusing a models huge size, and will therefore not use it.

This should apply to all sections, (yeah tell me how to make this work with Jass, oh I forgot, wc3s' Jass section is a death pile of junk during to lack of mods) I remember a guy who uploaded an 800 KB spell pack including no custom spells, but only sounds and a skin, hopefully you got that deleted, Daelin.
