The Strength of the Martok is a campaign which does not take place in the Warcraft universe. Unlike the traditional WC III Campaign style, you will only control heroes and sometimes a few units.

Story
For many centuries the Orcs were at constant war with each other for tribal dominance. After many years two tribes remained, the Martok and Grokuns. The Martok were able to cripple the Grokuns and sent them into hiding in the mountains. At the peak of their power, the Martok launched a world wide invasion, starting with the continent of Thaston. Thaston was one of the most powerful nations and the only one strong enough to rival the Orcish legions.

The Orcs landed on the shores of the Eastern Highlands of Thaston, home to the mighty Barbarians. The Orcs at first were losing the battle, untill the Wolvane, a wolf-like humanoid creature, decided to aid the Orcs. For centuries the Wolvane fought the Barbarians for dominance. With the Wolvane, the Barbarians were easily destroyed one by one. One brave Barbarian, Bjorn, ventured to the capital of the Half Giants, Hogruntin. There he pleaded for assistance from the Half Giant King. The Half Giant King said if the Barbarian could pass the trials the Half Giant's would aid the Barbarians. The Half Giant King knew Bjorn would not pass the trials because nobody except the king ever had. Bjorn had to slay hundreds of horrific beasts deep within forgotten caverns, retrieve certain items, and battle various creatures. Time was running out, and Bjorn told the king that there was no time. The King said Bjorn's final trial was to duel him. The King and Bjorn fought for hours. Bjorn was determined to save his people, and even after blows that should of killed him he got up once again. Impressed by Bjorn's determination, he saw that Bjorn and his race were strong and believed they would be great allies. The Lesser Giants aided the Barbarians and pushed the Orcs out, temporarily.

After being defeated the Orcs retreated to the Southern Swamplands. The Orcs created vast Strongholds and readied their armies for another attack. The Swamplands were rarely inhabited by outsiders and thus the Thastons did not expect the orcs to be there. The Swamp was a perfect location for a devastating ambush against the Thastonian Humans with their major economic port city, Triame, just west of the Orcish Strongholds. The Orcs launched a huge ambush at the unsuspecting citizens of Triame, burning the whole city to the ground and shaking the foundations of Thaston. The races of Thaston gathered together in the sacred Hall of Kings, were the Thastonians gathered 100,000 years ago during the Troll Wars. The Barbarians, Half Giants, Halflings, Gnomes, Dwarves, and the Thastonian Humans all met and forged the Thastonian Alliance to combat the Orcs. Their first decision was to send the renowned Dwarven diplomat, Gimorgoli Ironbeard, to the Swamp Trolls. The Swamp Trolls have always had neutral-friendly relationships with the Thastonians and were also very territorial. If they could get the Swamp Trolls aid they would be able to destroy the Orcish Strongholds from behind. Gimorgoli was able to win the Swamp Trolls trust and destroyed the Orcish Strongholds throughout the swamplands.

Even with the victory at the swamps, it was too late, and Orcish forces had already been reported destroying the city of Tuske. Tuske was a huge farming city and provided nearly 80% of all of Thastons food supply. With the crops stolen by the Orcs the Thastons suffered a food crisis. One by one the Orcs surrounded various cities untill they gave up from starvation and surrendered to the Orcs. Once again the leaders of the races met in the Hall of Kings. They had used up all their forces, but there was one last hope. The High Elves of the Northern Forests of Elnediel had not yet joined the war. Their magic was beyond any other known race on Thaston and was devastating. Though they were an arrogant race and hard to negotiate with. Once again Gimorgoli was sent to negotiate with the elves, and eventually their King Al'ankil accepted Gimorgoli's proposal to join the Thastonian Alliance. The Elves pushed the Orcs back into the swamps and let the Swamp Trolls finish the rest. There was peace for many weeks and everyone thought the Orcs were gone.

The Orcs returned several weeks later, except not how people expected them to. The Orcs were no longer orcs, but undead. A powerful Goblin Necromancer named Goronak had gathered a large ammount of the fallen Orcish soldiers and raised them from the dead. These new Orcish warriors felt no pain, never became tired, needed no food nor water, and were incredibly loyal. Goronak presented his army to the Warchief and he was very pleased. He allowed Goronak to continue the invasion. Goronk first began with the Barbarians.

He first attacked the city of Bjornnast, a city still under construction in honor of Bjorn who fell in battle which was to be the capital of the Barbarians and Half Giants. The city was weak and quickly destroyed a large ammount of its defenders. The famous General Krogok who led the Barbarians and Half Giants commanded the remaining troops. They barricaded the city gate with numerous boulders and crates. The city held against outstanding odds under General Krogoks leadership. Commander Lokrash, the Orcish Commander, fought General Krogok amidst the battle. After losing to General Krogok, Commander Lokrosh ambushed him with three Undead Orcs and slew the General. His last words were "Let the Battle go on!". The Commander believed his death with demoralize the enemy forces, but it did the opposite. Sergeant Horg, a good friend of General Krogok, took Krogok's axe and held it high in the air. He then yelled in his booming voice "FOR KROGOK!". The Half Giant and Barbarian forces were into a Frenzy and destroyed the Orcish forces once again. Three days later the Wolvane brought supplies to Bjornnast. They left the Orcs after discovering their usage of Necromancery and decided to join their long old enemies.

Even with the defeat, the Orcs were not demoralized, mostly because they were undead. The Orcs decided to launch another ambush, this time on the Thastonian Human Capital of Tagonor. A smaller group of soldiers marched for the front gates of Tagonor as the main force marched through the back gates. The Decoy Force was destroyed but the Main Force broke through the city and set it aflame before anyone could do anything. Tagonor had fallen and so had the Human's King. The Human Prince led the survivors of his people to the Dwarven Capital of Bodrin's Cleft.

Goronok, acknowledging the races of Thaston would once again go to the elves for assistance, decided to strike first. Goronok amassed all his forces and marched to the gates of Leth Nurae, the High Elven Capital. Deep within the city the Gatekeeper was with the Elven King, Al'ankil. He was preparing to use an unstable rift spell to teleport out of the city so he could save his own life in selfish greed. The Gatekeeper stabbed the King in the back and he fell to the ground, dead. The Gatekeeper opened the gate. Goronok promised the Gatekeeper, Dralnarath, great power for doing such, and the power was granted. Goronoks body began to mutate and form until he transformed into a towering Lich in disguise. The Undead forces, Dralnarath, and Deathchill, the Lich, decimated Leth Nurae. The Dwarves, Wolvane, Human Remnants, Half Giants, and Barbarians suddenly arrived at the front of Leth Nurae. They charged in and destroyed the undead. Before Deathchill and Dralnarath teleported out of the city Deathchill took many elven tomes with him. He then implanted his knowledge into a young newborn human baby who would grow up and see this knowledge, and then raise an army of undeath. Though this severely weakened Deathchill so he and Dralnarath went into hiding on the continent of Kojan, coincidentally the homeland of the orcs. The Great Orcish Invasion was over with Thastonian victory.

After the war cities began to rebuild and new cities were built. Bjornnast was finished and the Half Giants, Wolvane, and Barbarians developed a strong relationship. Though a few years after the Wolvane began breaking into several tribes and warring for dominance. The Dahnkrag Wolvane were the last remaining Wolvane still in the Thastonian Alliance. After the war the High Elves became less arrogant and were ruled by their Queen, which their race loved dearly. Tagonor was rebuilt as New Tagonor which was slightly more south from its original location. It was now also a Port City and was close to Triame. Tuske was also rebuilt and it once again became a major farming source.

Back in Kojan the Martok Orcs broke into a civil war. The Warchief was always already corrupt and power hungry. The General however was much more respected by the majority rather than feared like the Warchief. The General declared war on the Warchief and the civil lasted for a few months but was the most devastating and damaging war in all of Orcish history. During this time the Grokuns saw this as a perfect opportunity to rise again and became a third party in the war. Eventually the Martok General slew the Warchief and claimed the title of Warchief himself. The Martok and Grokuns fought untill the war was declared stalemate and they both retreated, both weak and crippled and slowly rebuilding.

Twenty years after the Great Orcish Invasion the young child who wielded Deathchills knowledge began seeing visions. Eventually he embraced them and destroyed his town, rising them in undeath. Then he destroyed the next, and the next, and the Undead Legions have gained a powerful foothold in Thaston and the war rages on to this date.

The Campaign begins 40 years after the Great Orcish Invasion with the main character who was once a Martok Warrior is stuck in a Grokun Prison. The Grokun Prison and Martok Stronghold border eachother and are always prepared to attack if the other attacks. The Grokuns have attacked the Martok Stronghold and the battle has caused the Grokuns to ignore the prisoners. Your hero uses this time to his advantage and is able to break out the prison with help from a fellow Martok Goblin prisoner. From their your quest begins.

Other Stories
The Troll Wars happened approximately 1,500 years before the Great Orcish Invasion. It was during the time when the Thastonian Humans were still very primitive races and not as powerful as they were today. The Barbarians also had not yet arrived from their foreign land which they sailed to Thaston. That happened 50 years after the Troll Wars. The Troll Wars happened in an era in Thaston's history called "The Golden Troll Era". This Era lasted about 1,000 years and the Troll Wars themselves lasted 25 years and concluded "The Golden Troll Era". During this time Mountain Trolls controlled much of Thaston, and still do today, just not as much as they use to. The Mountain Trolls were vicious and powerful and were the dominant race on Thaston at the time. They ruled over Thaston with an iron fist. The races of Thaston met in an ancient hall created by the Dwarves long ago called the Hall of Kings. This is were all the Dwarven leaders would meet before they united into one. The High Elves, Halflings, Dwarves, Thaston Humans, and Half Giants met. They forged an Alliance and began to uprise against the Mountain Trolls. The Troll War raged on for 20 years with the Alliance losing. On that day they were ready to surrender untill a major turning point victory happened. In one desperate assault, the entire remainder of the Alliance army snuck through the mountains into the Capital of the Mountain Trolls and unleashed a flurry of Western Halfling and Dwarven bombs, completely destroying most of the city. After the bombing was finished, they charged down, a large majority slipping, and wiped out the rest of the Mountain Trolls. The next five years was constant victory after victory for the Alliance untill the Treaty of Khegor which sealed an uneasy peace between the Mountain Giants and Alliance. Eventually the Alliance faded and the Thastonian races became independant once again. This war majorly changed the Thastonian Human culture, influenced by the elvens beautiful buildings and the dwarves sturdy masonry, the Thastonian Humans created their own style and culture.
The Swamp Trolls creation remains a mystery to most Thastonian Scholars, it is said they might not even have any relation to the Trolls. Though one thing is for certain is that they have always lived in the swamps of wherever they came from, possibly even Thaston. Thastonian Scholars have seen records of saying a Mountain Troll expedition to the swamp during "The Golden Troll Era". It is said the Trolls never returned and from then the Mountain Trolls never went back to the swamps. It is speculated that the Mountain Trolls infact did survive, but simply got lost or suffered other complications. Instead, they settled down and created their own towns. Looking deeper into the swamps, Scholars have discovered ruins of small villages which do not have Swamp Troll architecture, but Mountain Troll. Eventually the Trolls adapted to their enviroment. The Swamp Trolls lost their hard, rocky flesh like the Mountain Trolls and recieved a dark green skin tone to blend into the swamp. They were also able to support vegetation on their bodies which, disgustingly, was an alternate source of food and also provided extra camouflage. The size of the vegetation depends on the size of the Swamp Troll itself. It is said that Swamp Troll Boglords can sustain entire trees on their backs. Some may tell you Swamp Trolls in the Southern Swamplands and Marsh Trolls from the Great Marshes are different, but they are not. The only difference is their name and were they live, they have adapted the same way, have the same cultures, and look the same. Though this brings up the question of how the Swamp Trolls ventured all the way across Thaston to the other marshes and why. Some things will remain a mystery forever.
For many years a race of short and stout people called the Halflings lived. This was approximately 200 years after the Troll Wars. In this time the Halflings controlled much more land. They owned present day Rindol Fields, Land of Cogs, part of Thastonus, and a large portion of Khegor's Mountains. The Halflings had to societies, the west and east. They west loved technology and were good friends with the dwarves, though the east prefered simpler lives and lived much like the humans, except smaller. The two were complete opposites even though they were the same race. They always hated eachother and even made two seperate borders and once tried to proclaim themselves as a seperate country. They also had two different kings. Under the rule of King Gearcog of the West the Halflings attacked. King Bordo of the East was enraged. After five years of war, King Bordo requested aid from their close allies, the Thastonian Humans. The Humans joined the Eastern Halflings so King Gearcog requested aid from the Dwarves. The war raged for about five more years before the Second Treaty of Khegor was signed. The entire Khegor mountains were given to the Dwarves and a small part of the Rindol Fields to the humans to divide the Halflings. The two races gave themselves their own names, the Gnomes and the Hobbits. Though, many still refer to the Hobbits as "Halflings" still even though it is incorrect. Gnomes have continued to excel in their technology but Hobbits have very similar lifestyles to their lifestyle thousands of years ago.

it depends what continent it is

kojan (orcish homeland) is composed of many islands instead of just one main continent. kojan has two largest islands which are the "mainlands" the orcish mainland is Mokarr and the Kojan Humans mainland is Tanvu. Tanvu is very lush and beautiful and Mokarr is also in certain places but in others it is very war-torn and dry

btw i might add another story

Here's an idea, sense it's not based in the Warcraft world and we want it original, how about we make the skin color of the orcs different, maybe we can use a concept for a world I designed a long time ago.

Pretty much it's a five continent world with islands here and there.

Central lands: Home of the humans, gnolls(?), and ogres(?)
North Continent: Home to Orcs and any allies they have, snowy in areas so maybe one tribe of orcs is blue skinned the other is like black/brown with a reddish hue sense the other areas are rather warm
East Continent: Home of elves, dragons and many exotic beasts
West Continent: Swamplands, home of the trolls
South Continent: Home of Dwarves, Mountain Giants and any other earth based creature

And also it had two other dimensions for planar beings

Shadow Realm: The place where corrupted, banished or just plain evil spirits go, they try to escape day after day but the Troll Shadow Hunters and Elven Light Warders keep them locked away

Realm of Light: The "Heaven" of the world, where the spirits of Paladins, priests, bishops and just plain good spirits go, they try to meddle with the world for good purposes but the Necromancers, Liches and other evil creatures try to keep them in their own realm

Note: Can be changed to fit the lore of the world :)

there are quiet a few otherwordly races in this lore, but there is only one that is actually evil, one use to be evil but changed during a war (i might write about it)

also the orcs skin color ranges from a light dark green to ashy gray/blackish

edit: i made part of Telon's (name of the planet) entire timeline, it still needs heavy revising and i'm not done, please give ideas/anything i missed/anything i should add for the timeline before i go and edit it again!

sorry for the double post, i forgot i posted this, posts merged.

So so sorry for inactivity, I tried making a model but I just don't have time atm, give me some time and I can make some models for this : /, anyways here's some ideas

Shade Crawler (Model is being worked on)
Dark mysterious creature from the Shadow Realm, invulnerable to normal attacks, magic deals twice as much damage but Light magic can easily one hit destroy these foul beasts, they use their claws to tear into your soul and they can drain life. They are brought into the mortal world by powerful Demi-Liches(see below)

Demi-Lich
It is said that powerful necromancers may turn into Liches, but unknown to the world is that before they become liches they are Demi-liches, invisible to the naked eye only those with true seeing may spot them, they summon shade crawlers and can create a Rune Grave(See below), but creating a rune grave sacrifices the Demi-lich. They cannot attack but have an offensive spell, Soul Spike, a very weak spell that damages the caster, it is mainly used for picking off wounded targets, Demi-Liches do not regenerate, cannot be healed and cannot be resurrected with magic.

Rune Grave
The Rune Graves have been a powerful tool for the undead for many years now, summonable by Demi-liches(see above) these magically infused stones raise Zombies, cannon fodder for the undead.

More coming soon :D
