So i just started school one month ago and i havent really had time do any terraining /cry.
But, im back and i present: Strange Oasis, is it real or is it just another fatamorgana?
Please leave a comment and make sure to stare into the sun for hours, cheers.

Edit: Damn, i cant make the dunes look the way that Void suggested, so all ive got to show is my failed attempt... oh ive also added some wind to cover up the oasis, makes it look abit more like a fatamorgana me thinks.

The desert doesn't seem vast enough. Not sure what I don't like about it, but I don't. The lighting is excellent, and the oasis is pretty cool though.

Maybe add some Outland wind or just plain wind here and there, not over the full screen, but i think you get me, to give Gilles and Friky what they want :p

Me, I love it, its nice, but for it to become perfect in my book do something with it to make it seem more alive :p

Try scaling the units and oasis for a more "expanse" effect. I've tried it, not sure if it's what Void was talking about, but I think it looks more deserty. I wiped this up in a few minutes to show you.

Edit: Whoa forgot to change the shadows. :p

What ~Void~ is saying is make the sand hills into proper sand dunes: with pointed tops and steep inclines.

OK, I think that I finally got the dunes down the way that Void suggested. I've also resized the centaurs and the trees like gilles suggested.

Unless some someone can point some really big flaw, glitch or place of ugly. Then this is final.
