Static IP

some people say me need a static IP to host. I go to http://portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm and do what they say.
Ok down is the Static IP given and i write it so in but the DNS is same as the DNS 2. I rly dunno what to do , i think i try 2 years to host :/

The second DNS is an alternate. You dont need it. You can just leave it blank.

you dont need a static ip to host, my ip is dynamic and i can host fine. you really just need the ports forwarded.

As GST_Nemesis points out you do not need a static IP to host anything. However a static IP will make sure that you're always hosting from the same IP always (this is what servers do).

i was on Port Forwards site and :
-Open CMD
-Write IPconfig
-The IP , Mask , Router write down
-Go to conection or so
-Give the internet and right click...
-TCP/IP
-And i Write the IP to IP and the Mask to Mask and the router to router
-I give to the brouser the router number
-I go to the NAT and set the IP and port 6112 - 6119
-Then i save it and............I cant host...

so we have a new Modem (not because i want host) but i cant find him on port forwards its the Airlive WLA-5200AP can anyone find him on Port Forwards pls :/ ?
