hi. can someone please convert a starcraft portrait to a warcraft portrait?

since i'm not playing Starcraft i don't know what the unit is called. its the one with the red armor that looks evil its 2 blocks next to the bull with a armor/suit

Tosh looks pretty evil. And I'm pretty sure you're talking about a Spectre or something. And Im pretty sure you can't convert.

there is a m3 3ds max import/export plugin and you can export from 3ds

making a screenshot and wrapping it over a quad would be easier and take much less space though

sorry, i can't understand any of that. i don't know how to edit model/portraits.

i guess i won't be needing the model in the first post, (the one with the red armor that looks evil).
but i guess, the one i want is the one beside it. the guy that smokes. or the picture below it that look like a pilot. since i don't know the animation of these guys. and they both look like pilots. i think i'll go with your pick and what you will convert to warcraft portrait.

Yeah. Anyway, I think you should wait until people make more modding tools for starcraft and etc, or get SC2 yourself and make the map there. Its an ok game.

no
it's just not easy
and since wow converts are treated as the evil itself on this site I think the same rule applies to sc2 models
so if you want sc2 portraits you will have to learn how these things I mentioned earlier work

I'd say its unlikely anyone could import an SC2 portrait model directly into Warcraft as there aren't many model editing tools for SC2 as of yet :/

As D4RK_G4ND4LF mentioned, your best solution would be to make a simple square model, then wrap a SC2 portrait image around it as a skin. It's a fairly simple model edit and I'm sure someone on this site could do it for you You'd get the portrait, it just wouldn't be animated

You'd also save a lot of file-size
