fenix has been assassinated by the zergs.... and then his brain was taken away by the protoss and inserted into dragoon...nobody knows about it before he has joined the battle again
my question: Who has killed matriarch of dark templars?

ZERATUL as an act of compasion. (BTW Num, fenix's "ruined body" was recovered by his brethren) not his brain^^

Do you mean who's fault was it? If that's the case then it's Mengst. If you mean who then the Overmind.
Which race created by the Xel'Naga was a failure?

what have got protoss and zergs same?

numerion, no. It's the Protoss. They failed to become what the Xel'Naga wanted.

 

[Misha]

Xel"nag first wantesd to create beings of pure form. That failed. next they've created the beings of pure essence (the zerg) they got decimated worse than when prptoss attacked them. so i also answer the question: the protoss and zerg have the same creators ^^

now mine: why tassadar became sooo powerful? (enough to destroy the overmind)

The Dark Energy from the Dark Templar was the only power powerful enough to totally vanquish the Overmind.
Tassadar was able to channel this Dark Energy and killed the Overmind but destroyed himself in the process.

As far as I know it was never stated when and how he got infested.

You mean the two crystals left behind by the Xel'Nagas? Urasj and the other... Damn I don't remember its name.

Misha, you can't kill the Overmind fully with brutal force. Only the Dark Energy channeled by the Dark Templar are sufficient enough to destroy the Overmind effectively.
