Any Item and leveling system was created by the map maker using the BUILT IN functions in the data editor for these types of features (no triggers required) and that why they all seem so similar. They are not 'immediately usable' without some work on your part however. Because you do have to activate a lot of flags on units, and also create every aspect of the items. The only thing Blizzard provided was the Inventories themselves. But those are not usable without setting up Inventory abilities to go along with them.

Unless you can find someone who made the data and placed it in a mod and has allowed it for download, you will have to find a tutorial to make it yourself.

here is a good one on both ITEMS and Heroes - http://www.sc2mapster.com/api-docs/getting-started-with-galaxy-edit/complete-hero/
Or this one here on just Items - http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/general-mapping-tutorials-659/equipment-inventory-systems-168860/

Its a long process, so don't assume it wont take some work. But when its done, you will have your desired features.

Okay, thanks for the help. I'll put this tutorial to good use.
