Star Wars ConQuest

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
This map is the ultimate stars wars sega map, it feature units from all time zones all fighting at the same time, (altho it is more ancored toward the Clone Wars)

Terrian
-The terrian consists of 6 different planets, Hoth, Mustifar, Couresont, Endor, Tattoie, and Kamino, all of these planets are seperated by a wall and a boundry.

Transportation
-to get to all of these different plants one must fly through space using a spaceship, units cannot travel through space.

Skins
-this map feature over twenty custom skins all of which i have downloaded from this site, (the majority of the models were created by Illidan Evil, and olofmoleman, but i also thank any other modelers who i used their models)

Objective
-The objective of the game is to conqer all 6 planets and utterly destroy your opponet,

Player Size
-this is a two player map but can eaisly be modifyed to be a 6 or 12 player map by placing one or two players on each planet, this would work well becasue there is two gold mines on every planet.

Modifycation
-feel free to modify this map if you wish, you do not need my consult, and as far a credit goes I would like to be in the credits somewhere but you don't have to put me in there.

Hope you enjoy my map and i also hope to see it (if people like it) on Battlenet someday!!

pretty good, you should add more stuff though, like buildings, taurian (sorry about spelling) and units, you should also add a space battle area, but pretty good

i could re-edit it if you wish and add more players, as for travaling to other planets it eplains when you start up the map, but a simple awsner is that you fly a ship into the black spacelike area at one end of each planet, and sorry about the spelling, (any rating's!)

you should add another row of planets. like Geonosis (desert with spires), Mon Calamari (a water planet), Mechis III (junkyard planet) or dagobah (swamp) to name a few interesting ones.

edit: perhaps check out my star wars risk to see what i did with planets.

This map isn't that great. The boundaries are too small in between planets, and I don't really see a way to get from 1 planet to the other (although it is possible I missed the method).

The editting is sub-standard. Basically, you have a lot of tooltips to change and there are a few units that still have the abilities of the unit that they were based on. On the tooltips again, I had no idea the majority of Droid units were powerful Terran infantry armed with pulse guns. Perhaps I should look more carefully on Star Wars... :p

As for the terrain, it's not bad, but it's not exactly top quality. I like what you've done with some of the planets (Hoth looks pretty sexy), but you haven't really added much variety to the terrain pallet. I understand that you are limited in choice when it comes to the terrain pallet and trying to get as much variety as you can, but that's when you try and compensate. Having such large patches of the same terrain type (as in the top planet that lies in between hoth and another one) is very boring and monotonous to look at.

What I'd reccomend (as the idea is definitely there, just not fully realised) is the instead of trying to create 6 below standard planets of Star Wars in one map, you could focus on one planet at a time, making the terrain look more detailed and better than you ever could with a custom terrain pallet. That way, you wouldn't have to worry about space and all that crap that you were probably worrying about when making this. Oh, and dude, ProfessorZmurge is right. You should add more players (although 8 might be a little too much for 6 planets, unless you REALLY want to throw them in the deep-end and have an awesome scrap and fight match :D). 2/5 cause it's sooo lacking. Good idea, though.

no its possible to make it bigger even if you already created the map. you know in the settings where you change like the game description and what it says on the download screen? one of those tabs with it is for the map. check the box about map boundaries and use the arrows to make the map bigger.

Ok I will tell you this right now, in a nice way... Alot of spelling errors. Title shouldn't be ConQuest cause it's sounds like a Con is on a quest, so Conquest will do, now people wanted space battles so... why not remove some of the planet terrain to enlarge space and add spaceships, I can guess English isn't your native language am I right?

If you need help with the spelling errors, I can edit the map to fix the spelling errors, plus there are something's like... since when does the Empire have droids? Don't remember the name but the giant Forgotten One is controlled by red shouldn't it be Neutral Hostile or something like that?

Add more players means more fun have 8 players and then it will be a bloody war :xxd:

For lumber why not just remove it and rename gold: Credits, since it's basicly what the Star Wars currency is called anyway.

Star Destroyer is freaken huge (ofcourse it is in star wars but still.)

For space why not add star tiles

Make it 4 races to pick from: Republic, Rebels, CIS, or the Empire. More units is needed in the game, but like I said I can help you if you need it.

2... MEGA races? They don't exactly have all that much in them, and I fail to see why you want to split them (although if you do it in the style of Battlefront 2, you could have an option deciding the time of the fight, therefore giving you 2 different races for each time, one before the clone wars and one after).

Wookies are cool! They must be a part of the Rebels. As for the Empire, if you make it so they get more units faster, that would be wicked. So, if you were to give the Empire the ability to recruit multiple troopers at once for an extended cost, that would be wicked, but make it cost an equal amount or something...

A completely different idea would be to change the whole gameplay style to the Dawn of War theme in which you control points and get unit squads rather than individual units...

Anyway, the way the map is now is appauling. It would make Blizzard cry even if Blizzard were a cover name for Chuck Norris.

The Empire's main strength is in numbers. They tend to come in massive groups. If you do the squad system, you could make them have more units in a squad with a little less endurance.

Making the Empire strong doesn't seem like a good idea at all, although they tend to have a lot more armour than the rebels... you could add something like an Evasion type ability to the Rebel units and have it that they also have Stealth abilities and such...

It's a very difficult thing to do, as the Empire comes in vast numbers. I think that in the end, and Empire unit is no more powerful than a Rebel unit, and that they have different fields in which they specialise. So, best shot would be that they have the same health and probably even the same attack (this is the most basic unit, as you tech up stats should vary completely), but have it so that the Empire comes in great numbers and the Rebels are a race which relies on micro-management a whole lot more. That way, you'll have a choice of 2 races that will cater to a nice range of different players: Players who just want to send in masses and masses of units or players who like to try and keep their units alive and defeat their opponent through tactical advantages.

i will have to agree with Warzzz on the empire's troop type, they always do come in large numberts but tend to be taken out by small select groups of elite tactical rebel's, i will take this into consideration for a possible future version, of any star wars map's might create in the near future

Here are the advantages for the Empire and Rebels:
EMPIRE:
*Constructs large armies focused on overwhelming vehicular power.
*Researches several new technologies at once.
*Continually launches new TIE fighters and TIE bombers from Star Destroyers. (I am not sure if I am gonna do it or not.)
*Obliterates a planet using the Death Star (of course it's not gonna be in the map).

REBELS:
*Constructs diverse fleets including a mix of unit types and support abilities.
*Steal technology upgrades from the empire one piece at a time. (Not gonna be added.)
*Can raid a planet's surface with a small number of ofrces, completely bypassing imperial blockades in space. (think of it as Wind Walk for like 5 seconds.)

Ok I haven't been able to finish the stuff I was suppost to add cause suprisenly it takes a very long time. Fixed your spelling errors and added units split up 2 races into 4. Added icons, im sure you can finish the rest.

But there is a site that can help you out, if you don't know anything.

Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki

Some odd reason I can't post the map on private messages.
