Something has been starting bugging me for a while, and it's starting to be to anoying so if someone can lend me a had i'll be grateful.
------
-->The Problem<--I cant get some spells (like life drain or lumber harvest->from wisps) to allow other targets then normal. For example if i try to target an allied unit with life drain, and i set the targets allow to : Ground, Player units, Friend; it would say that i must target an enemy unit, and if i target an enemy it say's i have to target an allied...Same problem with harvest.
I think it has something to do with the presets of the game, and i'll be grateful if someone could clear this thing up for me.And, if u could direct me to a good tutorial on how do spells work in detail then i would be ever so grateful.
-->The Reward<--I cant give u to much for this except a sincer thanks and reputation points if u have.
------
-->Something else to think about<--Dont think this would be possible but trying never kills anyone. If someone knows a way to set something for a spell from a variable defined in triggers then let me know it would mean a lot for my project. For example if i could in the box for stats - cooldown write instead of a fixed number like 10 or 20 something that would take the value everytime that my spell is triggerd from a variable x that i could change in the triggers menu.Same goes for damage or text or other things that could change for a spell or intem during the game.It would mean a lot for my project if it where to be possible.

for the first part i dont know at all. Maybe uncheck the "Check Dependencies" but i have no idea. I think it just might be a general preset that wc3 makes for some spells.

For the second part you can just make the ability you want to change have levels, and whenever something happens to make the ability better, you can just increase the level ---> Unit - Increase level of Your Ability for (Triggering unit). For the different levels you can put whaever you want, different text, cooldowns, damage, whatever. If you want the level to go to a very high value hold shift when you selct the value (shift double click or shift enter), this allows you to enter very high values and even negative values where they normally would not be accepted.
Hope this helps you out a little bit :)

I thought of that solution but for what i am trying to do it wont help cause it would mean i should make a couple of 1000 different spells for each hero appart and that would be a little to much.
->Thanks for the shift+enter tipo, i forgot that and i was looking everywhere for it
