Hiho! I have recently started my second big project(single player RPG) and right now, i need spell ideas for the following classes:

(Also the link to the development forum)

-Warrior

-Berserker


-Wizard

-Monk


-Ranger

-Assassin


So just keep them coming^^ If you need more info then just pm me:)

Ranger

Arrow Rain
The ranger loads 4/6/8 arrows and fires all the arrows at a target area, dealing heavy damage to all units in range. Units with less than 10% hitpoints left will die instantly.

Hunting Essence
The ranger is very skilled in hunting and is permanently gained 5/10/15% more movement- and attackspeed.

Monk

Fountain of Summer
The holy monk summons a holy, shining fountain. It heals all allies for 2/4/6 hitpoints per second and deals 5/10/15 damage tonearby undead units, every second. The fountain lasts for 10/15/20 seconds.

Shiny Chains
The monk binds its target for 10/20/30 seconds and deals a small amount of damage to the target every second. If the monk stops channeling the chains will break and then target will be able to move again.

Aura of Light
This aura affacts all units with mana. When an ally casts an abillity that costs mana the unit will be healed for 25/50/75 hitpoints. If the allied unit is a hero its hitpoints healed will be doubled.

This is what i have right now. Will edit this post if i get some more ideas.
[EDIT] oh damn. didnt see it was single player :p If you think the spells can be useful, i will make them useful for singleplayer.

Berserker

Shredder
Berserker gains 100% more attack speed and 5%/10%/15% bonus damage for the next 5 melee attacks. Buff lasts 10 secs if the melee attacks haven't been used.

Rain of Blood
Berserker makes his target bleed for 10 seconds dealing X/X/X damage. The blood that has been shed will heal the Berserker for 25% of the damage dealt.

Thrash
Stuns the enemy for 2 seconds and deals X/X/X damage. It also reduces the armor of the enemy by X/X/X for 7 seconds.


I might come up with some other ideas later.
 
Oh by the way, by "berserker", i mean a really big man with muscles, who is'nt very fast, not like the warcraft berserker:) lol x.e.r.e.x i dont know how i should give you a reward since you dont believe in repXD

Wizard

Spell Name - Arcane Orb

Description - The wizard fires an arcane orb at a targeted point, exploding on impact dealing X/X/X amount of damage and restoring X/X/X amount of mana depending on the targets hit.

Spell Name - Thunder Strike

Description - The wizard calls a thunder strike on the target, dealing X/X/X damage. Also, the target is stunned for X/X/X seconds on impact.

move speed, it would be a move to disengage and run. call it whatever.

hmm ok another...

assasin - (no name)

The Assasin will dodge out of the next melee ability cast on him, behind the enemy, stab with a poisoned weapon (doing full weapon damage ...), and kicking hks enemy, knocking them back, stunned for 1 sec and with a movement slowing poison that will last 7 secs.

Warrior

this one is just for changing gameplay, at certain times (i leave that part to you) 4 new abilities will pop up, all will be very strong, but you can only choose one, just because warriors are a very predictable class.

- damage over time
- heal
- stun
- normal damage

Ranger:

the ranger quickly shoots 2 arrows, these will do seperate damage and will always be critical if the target ks bleeding.

Berserker: Throwing axe

the berserker hurls a throwing axe that will stun his opponent for 2 seconds, cannot cause critical damage.

-Berserker sacrifices accuracy in exchange for a large attack bonus and slight increase in attack speed
ummm I don't have specific numbers for attack and speed increase, don't know how powerful you want the abilities to be

quick question, could you say what weapons each character will use?

Assassin
Fungal Powder
-The assassin spreads a poisonous powder, if a unit is exposed to the powder twice, it will suffocate to death(so basically cast it twice, if it hits a unit twice then that unit will die in like 5 secs, its a large range aoe)it would have to have a slightly long cool down or it would be a little over powered, and maybe it takes 3 or 4 to kill a hero
 
quick question, could you say what weapons each character will use?
Berserker:Big axes, swords etc.
Warrior:Light melee weapons.
Wizard:Staff, but melee.
Monk:Staff, but melee.
Ranger:bow.
Assassin:light weapons, like daggers etc.
Idea for berserker. May it able to pull enemies to him)
More details would be appreciated-.-

A monk spell...
Name: Holy Light
Description: "Monk" calls a beacon of light from the sky hitting a unti,with his ancient magic spelbook(or someting).If the unit is friendly it heals it by 40% and increases his ms,and if the unit is enemy then it gets blinded and disabled,stunning(or just slowing you choose :p) the enemy and making him miss by 40%(or in the next 10 hits) for 15 seconds.

For berserker:
Ok this will probably only work if weapon is attachment but here goes

Skewer Syndrome
Impales a unit against a boulder/tree using his sword, then proceeds to kick the sword through rock/tree killing the impaled unit instantly. The impaled units shrieks of pain cause nearby units to cower in fear reducing damage by 30%

Wizard:
Wrath of Elements
Wizard summon elements by his/her side. Cause of that, there will rain frost, fire and lightning around wizard. Frozen shards slows enemies, fiery meteorites will burn enemies with damage over time, and lightning make direct damage.

Everlasting Burn
Wizard throws fire at the enemy unit. Fire will burn target and everybody around the target. Fire wont be extinguished until target dies.

Unstable Elements
Wizard summons Water, Fire and Storm Elemental. Elementals are so agressive that they attack every one randomly around the wizard. If there is nothing else to attack, they will attack wizard.
 
Berserker:

Curved Blade:

The Berserker uses a momentum to circle his axe around him (needs 2 seconds preparation to swing the axe), then throws the axe in a straight line, the axe pierces enemies in a line and flies 1000/1250/1500 diameters, dealing 5*Strength of the Berserker to enemies in line, after that the axe is stuck in the ground and has to be picked up by the berserker. The Berserker is 1 second stunned after throwing the axe.

Granite Muscles:

The Berserker bulks permanently up, increases life points by 100/200/300 and physical damage by 5/10/15. Additional if the Berserker uses Curved Blade and has Granite Muscles on Level 3 he is not stunned and needs only 1 second preparation time.

Cursed Scars:

The Berserker activates the clan scars on his body, those are magical scars which imbue the wearer with a immense power, for 30 seconds physical attacks cannot harm the berserker at all, but after these 30 seconds he loses all his armor for 15 seconds.

Bulldozer:

A Berserker is a mountain of muscles and anger, even his aura causes fear in the hearts of his enemies. When activated, the Berserker gets a unholy aura of brutality, all enemies in a radius of 300/400/500 flee in fear. The Flee lasts 3 seconds and triggers every 10 seconds. Bulldozer lasts 20 seconds.

Hmm haven't seen many warrior skills so I'll try and think of some...

Close Combat
Warrior throws sword high in the air, distracting target unit(stun 4 seconds), he then rushes in unleashing a flurry of blows(like a 100 dmg) then finishes by catching sword and slashing(100 dmg) its basically a blink strike with a stun and some extra graphics
 
A spells for ranger:
-Cuz rangers are rangers and they are not so good at close combat, an arrow that knockback and deal damage will be usefull :) You can also mess up with damage calculation (damage from agility, standard damage, damage from speed and more).
Spell name Thunder Shot is ok I think.
-Rangers may know some huntink skillz. A net that cut your skill if you try to move is painfull :O I sugest you to use percentage damage from speed of traped enemy. Spell is usefull again if you dont want someone to get close to you. I dont know good name for this spell :S
-Rangers can hide near trees, cuz know hunting skillz. Hero meld near tree (only).
Shot without moving hero from meld position is very concetrating and deadly. If hero get damaged he must to show up coz someone blowed up his cover. Ambush is fine name.

Warior

Skill 1 - Heroic Taunt

Skill 2 - Last Stand
Heals a target unit based on the number of units that surround him. The more units, the more healing done.

Skill 3 - Passive - Warblade
The battle knight's enchanted blade has a chance to deal increased damage and cause the target to bleed, dealing damage over time.

Ultimate - Passive - Battle stance
Uses a different stance, giving the knight different effects.

Warrior
Art of Combat - Active/Target Unit - Perform several attacks. All attacks deals more damages than previous one.
Adrenalin - Passive/Self - Enabled when hit points are lower than 1/4. Gives x% chance to avoid an attack.

Berserker
Rage - Passive/Self - Enabled when hit points are lower than 1/4. Increases attack speed by x%.
Frenzy - Active/Self - When activated all damages taken got x% chance to increases attack speed.

Wizard
Focus - Active/Self - Decreases casting time of the next spell.
Brilliance - Active/Self - Restores Mana. Mana restored depends on number of nearby units.
Magic Leech - Active/AoE - Drains mana of nearby ennemy units.

Monk
Call upon the Goodness - Active/Target Unit - Gives a random buff from damages/armor/attack or movement speed etc... (you can also imagine other buff).

Ranger
Arrow Master - Active/Self - Gives a percent chance to perform several consecutive attacks next time the hero attacks. Each attacks reduces percent chance of re-attack.
Poisoned Arrow - Active/Target Unit - Deals instant damages and poisoned the target. As long as the unit is poisoned, it has x% of chance to die every x seconds.

Assassin
Sudden Death - Passive/Self - Gives x% chance to instantly kills your target
Shadow Projection - Active/Channelling - Creates a clone of the hero which is invisible. He can attacks. The hero cannot move and is also invisible during channelling. Player's Camera locked to the Illusion.
Venom - Active/Target Unit - Gives a buff to the unit. As long as the buff remains the unit has x% of chance to die every x seconds.
Critical Strike - Passive/Self - Every time the Assassin deals an amount of damages greater or equal to half of the target's hit points it has a chance to instantly kills the unit.
Runaway - Active/Target Point - Makes the Assassin invisible and increases movement speed. Order the Assassin to move to targeted point. Cannot receive orders before he reach the point.
