Spellbook Costs Mana

I use spellbooks in my map and for some reason, if I have less mana than the mana cost of the mana-cheapest ability in it, I can't even open it.

Who do I get around this?

because there is no spell that you could use from that spellbook, it's natural that you couldn't open that spellbook. but when you regenerate mana, and could use any spell from the spellbook, the spellbook can be opened again.

Include an ability with no mana cost and disable it via Player - Enable/Disable Ability.

IDK if this works because I haven't tested it, but THEORETICALLY, you could avoid all the triggers by just making a channel based spell, but leave it invisible, have no mana cost, and change the spell ID to avoid conflicts.

Then put that spell into your spellbook.
