Spell: "Waking Nightmare"

Hey all! Trying to get a custom spell to work for my latest campaign project and I can't quite seem to get it to work the way I want. It's called "Waking Nightmare," and basically it's a Sleep spell where the target doesn't wake up if they take damage and they take periodic damage during the spell's duration.

I'd prefer to have this as uncomplicated as possible, as I don't know how to work with JASS or anything of the like, so if you can keep it to simple triggers or - even better - just modified abilities, I'd appreciate it.

Apologies if this is super simple and I'm just dumb or if it's been done before and I missed it when looking around. xD

@The_Warchief Hello there ! I am not entirely clear what you need here.
Are you saying that you have a spell, from spells section for example but you can't make it work and need help to incorporate it into your map ?
OR do you need somebody to make the spell from scratch ?

I need it made from scratch - sorry if I was unclear on that, haha. When I said I couldn't quite get it to work, I meant that I had tried to make the spell myself with little success. I did look around the spells section but couldn't find anything like what I needed.
 
Yeah, in effect it's basically a stun/poison, but I specifically want it to still resemble the Sleep spell in it's effects and all. Like I still want it to have the floating green Z graphics, I still want there to be that pause before the spell is actually cast, I still want the particular green pulsing glow thing. Basically I want it to look and feel EXACTLY like the Sleep spell, except they don't wake up on damage and they take periodic damage while they sleep, and I'm just not sure how to implement that myself.
