Ok I have a tower/ward thing that has an ability called Repair Drones; essentially a Healing Ward but modded beyond a mediocre inspection. I want the ward effect to not look like the pulse thing it has, I want it to use the Locust Swarm animation with all the dudes flying around because they will look like my erpair drones (kind of). I can not get it to work though. WHat can I do? Should I do it in triggers? and if so. how?

well ewery spell got a buff/effect that determinates just this kind of stuff, my tip to you: find your spell, check wath buff/effect it has and look this up in the buff/effect file and then change it to Locust Swarm.

This won't be enough since the locusts are real units. So you probably have to trigger the ability on your own creating some drone-units with the locust ability at its start and then while the spell works, just use something like
  • Events
  • ---Time - every 0.3 seconds of game-time
  • Actions
  • ---Unit - Issue (random unit of DroneGroup) to move to (random location in range of caster)
Of course you should remove the leaks and to make it multiinstanceable, it will take some more effort. :emote_innocent:
