I use a lot of internal sounds which use a variety of pitches in my singleplayer map to make them sound different. They all work properly, but my map has a high difficulty curve and could benefit from using Warcraft's default saving and loading.

The problem is that when a saved game is loaded, the pitches are reset to their default settings (like in the attached example map). Is there a way to prevent pitch resetting or to change the pitches in-game? I'd prefer not to have to import sounds and crank up the file size of the map if I don't need to.

Yes, you can change the pitch of sounds ingame. Infact, the configurations you commit in the sound editor are translated to jass lines for map init.

native SetSoundPitch (sound soundHandle, real pitch) returns nothing

or GUI

  • Sound - Set Sound Pitch
However, there is no GetSoundPitch-function.
