It is not a question whether a certain file is a Skin *.blp or Model *.mdx; every modeler knows the difference; otherwise he/she wouldn't be capable of making one.
Therefore; if a model was based on the original Warcraft 3 model, someone could have made certain changes with it and have created own skin file(s). Sending an edited model (including the changes in PathNames, certain values, e.t.c.) and attached skin files should therefore be more suitable and useful for someone who wishes to download and then import a new Object, NOT replacing the existing ones.
- Why making just a skin files and than attaching them to original models, replacing them and therefore making it impossible to add some different skin to the same model? - Isn't it better to create an enclosed model skin applies to and the same kind of model as a different file that some other skin applies to?
