It was only a hacker: Luckily, it wasn't a cracker. There's a difference

Hacker: Hacks to learn and so forth. Probably hacked here to check the php scripts or something
Cracker: Hacks to deliberatly cause something bad to happan

So yes, nothing serious

I don't care that you can justify his reasons for hacking, he was doing nothing to help anyone. He claimed he was only doing this to make things better, defacing a website makes nothing better. If you're stupid enough to waste your time hacking a fan site to a video game, you truly need to find another hobby.

Also, I found nothing funny about the picture... a baby flipping you off has nothing funny about it.

Wrong.
Hackers: guys that hack into sites etc to cause damage, eg. by stealing codes (Half-Life, anyone?).
Crackers: guys that hack into sites to make the owner aware of glitches, holes and other things which a hacker could abuse to do what I said above.

Of course, not every hacker has the same talent. Worst case are so called Script-Kiddes, people who have no real clue and just copy from pros, altering malware etc. Most malware (virus, worms, etc) is made by those.
