Solo Melee tourney?

What do you think about organizing a melee WC3 contest? Players could sign in the tourney within for example a week. Then we will set the pairs and draw tournament tree.We would use standrd tourney maps(Echo I. Gnoll W. etc.)To prove your win you have to post replay of match.One round could last for week if you havent played your match and your oponent posted that , you lose.
Winner could for example win 1 rep point xd.

As much as I have played with real pros so you guys hardly have any idea of good players, because I'm retired from melee, I'm a soloer on 1st place afterall not a mapper, so cuz I'm retired and rusty I guess I can enter even less skilled tourney as I may lose hahah. I'm in. If this was a tour with pro players I wouldn't even need to take part with my rustiness but this will fit my inactivity.

But maybe I'm saying too much for nothing. Who will play and be good from this site oO? Try a gaming site? This soo doesn't look like a site to offer a tournament.

Hahahah I'm a noob, nice joke !!! Look, I won't argue if someone says I'm not good at many of the parts of mapmaking and honestly, I don't care if I'm good at mapping or not. But you all, do not have the impudence to call me noob when you don't know a shit about my skill where I have played and vs who. Let's say that solo is my sphere from war3 and consider arguing about my skill there forbidden. I have played solo only, 3 years now this is a 4th and I'm retired. Let's not discuss me ok? I know level doesn't matter but it still shows something. You can't be lvl 30 with 300 games because you make many losses and can't make levels fast and be better than someone who is lvl 30 at 80 wins, makes levels above 30 as if a newb makes lvl 4 (exclude decay). Also I do believe you hardly have made good stats or high levels to play vs good players, so now your excuse is 'level doesn't matter'. I will just ignore that crap comment up there.

Also unlike you, because I have played I know the meaning of the word 'pro' and I said I have played vs such not that I am one. I'm far from pros because even the meaning of good is somethong beyond me, however what is below me is rly bad. Am I wrong to say that mapmakers should stay in their mapmaking and not pretend they are something that they have barely played? Well many don't pretend, it's like me saying 'hey loook at me I'm as good modeler as IllidianEvilX'. Don't just pretend that you are something you are rly not, I don't say Im a good mapmaker or pro in solo. I say what I rly am. Also exactly because I know how professional players act, they don't call ppl 'noobs' because they are, they say nothing. I may not be a pro but I act so - did I call mapmakers noobs? I just said I'm surpirsed cuz this is something away from their sphere. I just want to tell you, I have been around this for a 4th year, while you have been thinking about 'A unit starts the ffect of an ability, ability equal to ...' so don't argue with me and don't think you know more than me because you haven't spent as much time on that as me, ok?

And yes, I get so rusty, I allowed such losses, that I said in the upper post, I may lose... I didn't see myself calling me pro.

Id really be against as Impac7 suggested, 'gathering' ppl from outside the hive.
Not much fun if a couple of lvl30,40,50's turn up, just to whitewash everyone.

Would be interesting simply to have a little melee tourny for the hive community, which mainly consist of mappers.

Would probably have more success of drawing ppl, if it was a 2v2 tourny.
Although may be more difficult to arrange games.

No, I don't mind ppl to be only from this site, then it will be like a fun tourney and I can play other races as well. Hell, I took this tourney serious in the upper thread.. it just a fun it's not like a league where you get prizes right? It's ok - a fun tourney. But if you add a prize like +2 gems in the profile or removing a red gem I will play to win

When I was staff in a gaming forum I used to organize tourneys as well. Just advicing you to think of a date, time and place faster.

Do you know what? Yesterday I was unexpectedly invited in a clan to take part in pro league and this is where I play serious, now I feel so excited about it I am back from retirement! Sorry that I took this tourney serious. I don't expect anything from mapmakers and I realise this is fun, so I will take part in it as fun. When I posted the upper thread, I wasn't in the clan yet, so I prolly missed those leagues that's why I wanted smth good but now that I'm in the real gaming again, I will have fun since I already have a serious league to play in ;>

This contest submission idea is cool enough to be worth some further consideration, providing that each of the following criteria can be met:

1. A Hive Workshop administrator or moderator who is active on BattleNet must be the judge.
   
   
2. Maps played must be standard Blizzard Warcraft III melee maps or be approved maps in THW's map resource section.
   
   
3. The contest outline and proposed rules must be far, far more developed to reduce ambiguity and eliminate misunderstandings.

that would gennrate a code system depending on win loss the admin/mod would give me the screenshot and i would enter the data into a Elglar converter

Hahaha... fastest maps. I remember those from Starcraft. Only comp stompers play on those. Maybe maps with high resources per node are okay, but fastest maps are for noobs.
