Skill Requirement for obtaining other Skills.

I'm selling Hero Skills through Neutral Shops. The skills are divided into Tier-1 and Tier-2. For simplicity's sake, lets assume all skills only has 1 Level. Lets also assume that there is 15 Tier-1 Skills, and the Hero must have ATLEAST 3 Tier-1 skills before purchasing Tier-2 Skills.

Is there a function which allows me to detect the NUMBER of Skills a Hero has?
Would it be any different if I were to add additional Levels to the skills?

well, you could have an invisible dummy ability that you add 1 Level to whenever the hero gets a new Tier 1 Skill, and then when he tries to get a Tier 2 Skill, check the level of the dummy ability

Or instead of the dummy unit you could simply just keep an integer variable. That's much easier and cleaner. I don't think there is a function to count the number of skills, I don't have WE open though.

well, you are right, integer variable would be much easier

but, since he is using books that a person buys to get spells, he is probably using triggers for that, so he could just add another level to the spell from there

Ye, or you buy the same spell twice.

''If unit has ability BLÖH (lvl1), then remove ability BLÖH (lvl1) and add ability BLÖH (lvl2)
Else add ability BLÖH (lvl1)

Edit: Sorry, forgot that blizzard doesn't have a condition for ''Unit has ability''. Why doesn't it?!
