Oops, fixedbirth axe is not hidden in portrait
I tried and failed xD Well, actually, I tried replacing the dummy with a copy of the main mesh, but that didn't really work. Without a dummy isn't really possible, unless you completely change the animation, because the skeleton falls into pieces. You need to have the different pieces attached to independent bones.Nice optimized
I initially thought that you made a death animation without "Dummy"

Hmm, maybe I'll try again later. Would be nice if the dummy looked the same as the main mesh. This resource has implemented it in some way, you can see it as an example

each piece would need a parent helper and a child bone to which the mesh is attachedHmm, maybe I'll try again later.
Oh, I see. Will definitely try this. If I can do it this way, the WC1&WC2 versions will be much easier/quicker than if I were to make a copy of the main mesh.each piece would need a parent helper and a child bone to which the mesh is attached
for regular animations you only move/rotate the helpers, for death you freeze the helpers and then move/rotate the bones into a pile on the ground
Problem is I don't know how I would start on them. I can't model from scratch and I don't know what WC3 model I could use as a base. They're so different from anything in WC3 AFAIK.It's good to see you are back to modeling. I hope you will make water elemental and fire elemental from Warcraft: Orcs & Humans soon (Your suggestions about elementals were good but they are not same as good old original game).
You can use vanilla Water Elemental as a base model, Water Elemental (Re-Classic) for hands and a female unit model (maybe vanilla Sorceress but hair model is not same) for face. Fire Elemental is much easier than Water Elemental because vanilla elementals are male and Fire Elemental is male too. I understand making elementals are hard but I am sure you can do it.Problem is I don't know how I would start on them. Thanks for the very valuable adviceeach piece would need a parent helper and a child bone to which the mesh is attached
