Many Spells in Warcraft have a Casting Time that prevents units from casting the Spells immediately but after x seconds.

The Casting Time in Shadow Strike, however, is determined for the damage interval.Shadow Strike will be cast immediately.

Is there any other preset variable that can make Shadow Strike to be cast after like 3 seconds?

Or do we have to solve it with triggers?

Bugging question ^^

Triggers.
One thing you can do for example is using a spell with a missile like drunken haze or acid bomb and with 1 second cast time and then detect when the missile hits the target (using a DDS works for this) and use a dummy caster to apply the effect. It's not much triggering, mostly object editor.

Don't you love those stupid design choices? Lol

Don't even need a projectile system.
Make an ability based off Channel which is the shadow strike with a cast time, that does nothing.
When they cast the skill, make a dummy with the real shadow strike who casts it.
