How do I make a player save the game? (my map is single player)
there are triggers like save and load game, save and change level, and other stuff, but they didn't quite work properly

What do you mean? Can you explain further?

Do you mean Player AIs commanding them to save game?

But I don't see why he would need it if it's single player and can save it manually, it does the same thing without triggers

I'm saying that I'm making a map in which you can't always save. Only on some savepoints/checkpoints

You can try when a unit enters a region, save the game. You will also have to disable save in the game itself using this maybe: Disabling Save

Try asking Svekerman for the triggers on doing that but only problem is he is quite inactive now.

Well if someone knew how, it would be better, but the prevent save works fine

For disabling Save, yes. For entering region then save, no.

Tried it and it doesnt work at all but I did see someone made it work but still will not properly show in the Save folder.

• Custom script: call SaveGame("Save File.w3z").

or

• Game - Save game as SaveFile.w3z and load <Empty String> (Skip scores)

But I think I prefer Custom Script. Let us see if it will work for him....

Yeah your quite right I tested the one in not custom script and it doesnt work maybe the Custom Script will work for you.

Exactly thats what I just did say awhile ago, so even this doesnt work. You will really have to ask Svekerman out.

Try the script with a space like Custom Script: call SaveGame ("saveFile.w3z"). Lets see if this another attempt will finally pay off.

JASS won't mind whether how much space is between the function name and it's parameters, as long as both are in the same line.
