Savage 2

Tonight I realized that a game I played a demo version of a long time is FREE.
Excited, I quickly rushed to their site and am downloading it now!
This game is Savage 2.
It was a little laggy for me last time I played it. but I still recommend it

Argh! Savage 2 butchered the brilliant gameplay of the original Savage!

I recommend to rather play Savage XR
(Original Savage, enchanced and constantly upgraded by the Newerth modding community)

It is also free, no lag, constantly updated, bugfree, better combat, perfect balance, more maps & total conversion mods, more players and more game modes.

Personally I prefer it to Savage 1, I like the feel

Hmmh I think Savage 2 failed with it's "new" class system.
In Savage 1 and XR the commander had to research the weapons first and then the players could themselves choose which weapons they wanted to use.
In Savage 2 they just lazily copied the generic FPS class system where each character class is strictly restricted to their specific weapons.

I also prefer Savage 2 over Savage 1.

I prefer the Savage 2 system, as it leads to more specified and clearly outlined roles.
