I just fail to even see the point behind this whole production. Sure you guys might be enjoying yourselves, but isn't the point of a game to be played? Runescape is FREE after all, the only advantage your map would have is WCIII graphics which I don't think is worth the trade off of not being able to play online with lots of people plus it only costs 5 dollars for membership, which has tons and tons of extra content.
I mean tbh I see no demand or market for this game. Who's going to want to play it when Runescape itself is free, is fully staffed, has its own website, forums, constant updates, special events, a huge community and now they have new graphics, plus membership is dirt cheap with loads of extra content.
If you guys are just doing this for the fun of it then be my guest, but it all seems a bit silly and redundant to me.
The WCIII scene has a limited life span now. I've no doubt that the community is only shrinking, and sooner then later WCIII will quite empty, not dead, but certainly not thriving or growing. You've got a limited amount of time left to pump out a hit for the WCIII audience, and I don't think 2 years in the making is going to cut it.
This project seems to be a lot like WCIII World of Warcraft, in less severe degree as this is not nearly the production WC3 WoW was. Both maps have had lots work of done on it so people feel too invested to quit, it'll never get done, it's too big of an objective, and the game itself is unoriginal and pointless as the source material is both inexpensive and free and way superior in most every way.
