Run as admin on win7

Is there any way to automate the Run as admin? Because I can't save maps when I don't run the program as an admin, but the dock that I'm currently using doesn't have that option, and I hate to put shortcuts on my desktop...

so is there anyway to automate it or at least make a program always Run as admin? or do I really need to just put a shortcut on my desktop so I can right-click it to Run as admin, or do you know any other dock programs which allows us to choose Run as admin?

thanks!

I think if you rightclick and select properties on the executable that gets passed the command to open the map you can.

Under compatibility, there is a flag that can be set to run the program as an administrator. Every time the command is sent it should hopefully start as an administrator level program.

If that does not work, you need to use regeditor to modify the command that is sent when opening that specific file to include a tag that runs as an administrator (not sure how to do that).

Yeah, just right click the .exe, go to "Properties", then to "Compatibility" and make sure "Run this program as administrator" is ticked. Every time you run the .exe or a shortcut pointing to it you will get the UAC pop-up. Just accept it and you will be running as admin.

Thanks! Gotta test that... ^_^

btw, yesterday I settled for pinning them to the taskbar, so that they won't be floating around my desktop, but could still right click them...

EDIT: It works! the pop-up now shows when I open the shortcut... ^_^

EDIT 2: NewGen saves it, but Jasshelper doesnt... the map script was not updated, then I tried saving it as another map, and wc3 cannot open it, meaning Jass helper wasn't able to compile it... I also enabled run as admin on JH...

eDIT 3: I tried enabling run as adming on jasshelp, clijasshelper and pjass.exe... it works if I save the map as a new one, but not if I edit an old map...

EDIT 4: It was weird, I saved the map as a new one, and edited the new one, and it seems to work fine now... but when I try to edit the old one, it still doesn't work... so weird...
