Chronicles of Eptinia
Hey man, cool idea overall but I've got a few suggestions after playing it.
First thing:
The chapter names kinda threw me off. Calling them "Version 1" and "Version 2" doesn't really tell me anything.
I'd rename them to something like Undead Perspective, Blood Elf Perspective, etc. Otherwise players will get confused unless they read the whole description beforehand.
Also, I kinda wish each chapter let me fully control just one faction. Like, if I'm playing the Undead route, let me actually run the Undead base and fight the Night Elves or Blood Elves.
Controlling all factions at once feels weird. What's the point of picking a perspective if I end up controlling everyone anyway?
The Naga path is cool since you actually start as them but the colors threw me off.
Blue Undead doesn't fit at all. Why not keep them green?
Same with the Naga. They're normally purple but when we play them they suddenly turn blue. Same deal with the Blood Elves. It'd feel more consistent if each faction kept its original color.
Another thing: the unit hints are still the Night Elf ones, even when I'm playing Naga. It breaks the immersion a bit. An interface overhaul would've helped a lot and it's not even that hard to do.
And the intro cinematic... man, it would've been awesome if it changed depending on the perspective.
Undead intro, Blood Elf intro, Naga intro, whatever. But we always get the Night Elf one, which is kinda disappointing.
Overall, the concept is nice and with a few tweaks it could feel way more polished and immersive.
