Root - Changing Building Facing Angle

This "spell" map shows how to use the root ability to allow modification of a building's facing angle in-game via triggers.

The "bug" that allows this is caused by the ability itself. Root disables movement in the rooted form, but enables it in the unrooted form.

When disabling the changing of the forms from rooted to unrooted, by disabling the ability via triggers, you can disable movement of a building while allowing facing angle to change.

Note that the buildings must have the modified rooted ability, and must have the "foot" movement. If the building is meant to attack normally, you must change the ability so that it allows attack 1 or attack 2.

The root ability could also, possibly, be used to change what attacks a unit can use, the armor of the unit, and whether it can move or not, if used in very advanced systems.

Night Elf Buildings

Nice idea, may be usefull in some maps!
But what if u give this to a night elf building, does it work the same or does it caue a bug?
(didn't tested that yet, no time to edit 'n things)
If by "night elf building," you mean an Ancient, you would not need to give the second copy of the root ability. The normal version already allows the facing angle of the ancients to be changed (think of when they attack).

For any non-ancient building, the copy of the root ability should be able to be given correctly, as long as you also apply the movement changes.
