As there are many people out there, who want to create risk maps, but need help on creating or understanding a risk system, i decided to release my own system to the public. Everyone may use it as he/she wishes.
Includes:
- several mods (risk revolution, Bounty, Alliance, Teams,...)
- a risk game as example, that allows you to learn how a risk system works
- Descriptions, what needs to be modified and how in order to make your own risk
Enjoy!
***System does not use Return Bug - full support for 1.24***
Version 1.6: June 13, 2009
- fixed possible side effect of activating defend (nothing serious)
- minor error possible when triggers are copied over
- 1/3 bounty mod
- fixed host mode description for multiboard mode (It should say Normal instead of No...)
- updated tooltips and stats for Risk Revo mod (btw has any1 ever played this mod?)
Version 1.5: May 26, 2009
- host mode triggers were combined to 1 trigger ( to save time when copying over)
- explained use of race capital variable better
- game supports now race capitals, that are different from the ones placed on map
- reduced money bonus in team mode with too few players
- removed buffs for spawn (was optional before)
- fixed (possible) bug that maybe could screw up mode initialization
if you dont know how to update map to next version, pm me and ill help.
short remark: if you want automaticly created tooltips like in the newest wow risk version, pm me.
All credits for Risk Revolution mod goes to Mr_Peacecraft

A useful system, covering a lot of what is recommended in a risk map. I have re-categorized this as both GUI and JASS, since you also use fully JASS triggers.

Bug: when switching defenders with the original defender as a human rifleman, he dissapears completely instead of simply swapping positions with the unit becomming the new defender.
Suggestion: in race mode, a button to change your capital to a new spot, not just to simply ping it
well its a system so it belongs to the spell section.
the bug: you have to change the "starting defender" unittype to an unittype that cannot be built ingame( the "starting defender" is always removed, because else you could abuse by replacing the stronger first defender with a cheaper and weaker unit)
about the suggestion:
it would be unfair if you could move the capital to any place? for example, when someone targets your capital, then you could just move it away.
well you could just make like a 5 minute cool down or something, or like it can only be changed once? isnt that how it is in WoW risk? but seriously who am i to complain, it isnt a big deal anyways. i will use this version for my game
it would be useful for those of us who have downloaded previous versions and implemented them to see an update list so we know whether or not to hassle with implementing the new stuff
