I haven't seen any tutorials on this, and google searches don't help because they only bring back 'map hacks' (ugh), but it seems simple enough that is likely common knowledge around the modders.

I want to do two things.

First, I want the map's terrain to start off unexplored. When I start the map, I only have fog of war but can see terrain everywhere. I'm not sure where I can change this.

Second, I want Line of Sight in locations where there are no units (and be able to remove this Line of Sight when needed). So say there is a spot on the map where there are no units. I want the player to see what is going on there in that location. When I decide I want the player to not see what is going on, that Line of Sight is taken away.

In Starcraft, we used map revealers. And we flooded the map with map revealers. I haven't found any 'map revealers' in War 3. So how do I reveal the map?

I apologize again for the simplicity of the question. Searches on 'map revealer' just brings up stupid Bnet Map Hacks.

NP dude we all gotta start somewhere.

1. In Editor go to 'Scenario(tab)' - 'Map Options' there is a checkbox for 'masked areas are partially visible'.

2. They are called Visibility Modifiers. Pretty self explanatory. You create them and if you put them to a variable you can turn them on/off whenever you like by referring to the variable.
