Hi guys,
I would like to know if someone is willing to use an MPQ editor (like Ladiq's) to open up object data (like in notepad or something similar) in a campaign (unit/items/buffs/spells/upgrades) (not the triggers* for both campaign data, as well as individual map data), translate it through some type of machine translation tool and then put those files back into the campaign and send the campaign to me.
I have tried previously tried to use an MPQ editor in the past, and the map almost always corrupt when I am re-inserting those notepad files back into the original campaign in some strange way. Reason I am asking for this is because I have come across some campaigns, which I have translated the storyline/triggers related stuff, but the unit/spells/buffs/upgrades/item data is so large in quantity that I cannot manually go through all of them (like, for spells alone, one of them has 1200+).
Normally I would say machine translation would ruin a campaign, but these campaigns will likely never get translated manually due to the large object data involved, and to be fair, as long as the triggers (i.e has all the story related language/dialogue) are not machine translated, then players' experiences with campaigns will not be affected much in my opinion. So, yea, was just hoping someone could reach out to me and discuss doing this for me, if possible.
The campaign is saved using the latest patch of wc3, if that information is necessary.
