Reducing Game Lag

It seems that warcraft 3 renders everything that the units controlled or allied with you have discovered, which ruined my last map due to excessive lag. And then I see maps here that have even better models then me and more of them and they don't lag at all. Is there some secret way to do this? Any help would be much appreciated.

mostly because of leaks on the triggers, high level of abilities, amount of active special effects at the same time, Infinite loops or a massive amount of units created (like most TD maps).
