realistic modeling help needed!

Hello, I've asked this question on other forums and searched Google a lot for a good tutorial on how to model a realistic rose and I've had no luck. If anyone knows a tutorial or knows how to go about making one please share. I'm using 3ds max 9 and plan on animating it from a tight rolled up rose to a fluffy "bloomed" rose.

Sorry but that won't help me. I need this to have fully 3d petals and everything else, its not for wc3.

yes i get that but the main problem is modeling it... i have no idea how to make the petals and in the proper formation of a rose. (and i think it would need more bones in each petal then just 1 with a few connecting to it, would need like branches and stuff to make it move in the wind more freely)

i really don't think that would work, and when it comes to the dust part it wouldn't with planes

Added a new video in the zip. These videos use DivX as the compressor and may be easier to view then the last one i had up. Any suggestions on the effects would be appreciated.

ok i got a finished rose now (just have to add in the stem) tell me what you think. Its around 434000 polygons.

well its not a texture just a colour of the objects. I'll put a normal map on it and a real texture putting it well over 1mill polygons lol.
