Hi
The title puts it out there with the overall idea. As I have lots of items that use Pheonix Fire I was thinking if I re-created it in triggers I could add in things such as critical hits, damage types and other effects.
I'm pretty sure I know how to do it but I'm worried about the lag that could occur, as I've already made a system in the map for grenades and that begins to lag apon reaching about 80 grenades being active (which is easier than you may think). This is a problem as the items have fire rates that have reached 0.06.
I'm going to say that my triggering (GUI) probably isn't the most efficient thing in the world but I think it'd be a good addition to the map. (As enemies have armor which is completely irrelevant for example)
Basically if I were to create a test map of the system would someone be able to look over it? (I'm going to bed now so it'd be tomorrow that I would be posting the test map)
Thanks in advance!
