A small, crazy experiment. This is an attempt at a classic first-person shooter in the spirit of Wolf 3D / Doom, with a raycast renderer built entirely on Warcraft 3 UI frames. This prototype is mostly vibe coded.

While it's really neat what you've achieved. Is it worth it to recreate this in Warcraft III when there's mods, open source and whatnot out there around id Software games like this and this?

Yeah, to play Wolfenstein these days you just google "Wolfenstein 3D play online" and there are tons of links to play it right in your browser. For me this is more of a fun "can it run Doom?" kind of thing. I don't really expect anyone to actually play the map
Well, I guess with proper crediting, it works like you'd be using Ported resources. And if the game was made open source by the owner, then even more so.
