Plain, bad angle, lighting is okay, but too much green, and the hills are ugly. They are way too slanted. Make the slop more gradual. More like rolling hills. Add more environment, and tone down the fog and/or the light doodad.

Your main problem here, as Gilles said is a bad angle, and a lack of focus. I think the hills are a little too slanted but terrain wise that's the only real "problem" with it. The reason it dosen't look good is because we're just randomly viewing some side of a mountain, give it a focus, make a story, add a trail or something that helps to create an enviroment.

It's both good and bad in its own ways. I'll break them down seperately.

GOOD:
  • Fog goes well with sky and tileset. Trees also blend pretty well. To be honest, almost all of it blends, which is good.
  • Decent placement of trees. They're seperated nicely and there isn't too many of them.
BAD:
  • Huge pointy hills. The hills are too large and too narrow. If anything, make fatter hills and lower them a bit.
  • There's not too many trees, but there is too little of them. Place a couple more!
  • Tiles used seemed to be placed in odd areas. Like each tileset was placed randomly. Some of it made sense (I guess you placed these while thinking about it clearly) but others just didn't go well with the rest. An example would be how the dirt is placed in the grassy hill.
  • The sky cuts off the terrain too much as is too noticable.
  • Lack of detail with environment.

It's not great, but isn't terrible. I'd say that the atmosphere was nailed down pretty well, the rest looks somewhat careless. Keep trying!
