Ok i do not know the limits of the Object Editor but the limits could be surpassed :

#1. when you modify something in object editor you double click on it ... now hold shift while double clicking the option you want ... (if this does not work try #2.)

#2. go in the "Warcraft III World Editor" and in the upper left you have all the menu's ... all you need to do is go in : Advanced :fp: Gameplay Constants ... :fp: A new window pops up : in this window you'll find all possible limits of warcraft 3, to modify one of the values first you need to check in the upper left of the window the "Use Custom Gamelpay Constants" then you double click the option that you wanted changed.

I hope that i helped you ...

There is no limit for abilites u would reach, u would more probably get bored
and doing somthing other before u would even come close to the limit
of MAX amount of abilites in Editor.

For the Second, i cant say max, but as i set level to highest amount of 9999999... my pc tookc to long to set it, so a 5000-50000 should work,
i hope.

:fp: You shouldn't create an ability with 5000 or more level!

First of all because the tooltip and and the extended tooltip alone took ca. 450kb (tested with the longest string possible). But you need the other values for the ability too! This is too much for a map limited to 4mb.

But the more rouling reason is, that the map tooks nearly 5 minutes to load (with an actual system, dual core and 2 gig ram). Even the autofill of all the different level descriptions takes more than 10 secs.

200 level works with a ca 1-minute loading time. I would take this as the upper limit.

I hope you find an alternative for an 5000-level ability.

Don't use so many upgrades... your loading would take like, 1000000 seconds! (not really). A 1000 level ability is already terrible. You WILL NOT want the map to lag at the begginning correct? So don't make such an ability/upgrade. You could use 100 levels of upgrades and 50 units or something and make each of the unit have more range then the previous. So each upgrade would grant +5 for example. The first unit will have 100 range, the second 605 range and so on.

Even at 1 upgrade a second, that's 5000 seconds! 83.333 minutes!
Wrong

But it's still there and still needs to be loaded. There's a difference between loading "nothing" and loading "empty string".
Wrong

Fail.

Upon testing this, I can see it does not infact effect Load times at all. A level 5000 upgrade with no tooltips/Icons does not seem to noticablly affect load times.

How ever remember to use increments and not individual values for each level. Otherwise it will probebly load like hell.

Oh and also, I think I know what this is far Lolz. Good idea, im stealing it.
