First off, i'm sure many of you know the abilities rain of fire, blizzard, and silence and that you've noticed they all have a large circle as an "aiming device" (aka the AoE).

My question is this:
Is it POSSIBLE to make the "aiming device" different geometric shape. Such as a Square, rectangle or triangle.

feedback would be much appreciated

Well, I really can't see where this would be practical.
I mean...The Radius only works with circular shapes so you'd need a ring around the shape.
To help define the targets.

At any rate, THW has some great AoE models.
Go to models->find the place where you can specify which model type (the drop down box at top) and set it to Buff. -> then press go.
There's like 30 of them that are AoE's.
Go crazy.

yeah. heres an example:
1.
  • Destructible - Create a Summer Tree Wall at (Center of (Playable map area)) facing (Random angle) with scale 1.00 and variation 0
2.I don't know if it is possible

That wont raise the terrain ? :p

Here's the real one:

  • Environment - Create a 3.00 second Permanent crater deformation at (Center of (Playable map area)) with radius 512.00 and depth -300.00

i already knew you could make a tree, and stuff in the destructible/pathing blocker categories, but there are OTHER doodads that i couldnt figure out how to use in the GUI triggers.

and also i thought a crater deformation just worked like making a "hill" using terrain palette. When i say "raise level" what i actually i mean is more like what the "increase one" option does in terrain palette

Then you shouldv'e been more specific.
What doodads are you looking for?
any you can't reach normally, you can just create a new one, with a base doodad that you can get to, and change the model.

and crater deformation in a size of 1 with a steep slope should achieve the effect you're looking for.

when thats something i can really do i want it to be authentic (changing doodad)
you know the rocks under the environment tab......i wanted to use those the non-destructible non-selectable non-hp having(cant think of a word for this) ones
