The Quenching mod does a lot of things to improve upon WC3 Reforged and is therefore Approved! (The download contains two files, are they different versions? Perhaps one can be deleted.)
Has anyone tried this mod in online multiplayer? I created a custom game with a friend who also installed Quenching mod and one of us would immediately disconnect as soon as the game starts while the player remaining in the game will see a message saying that the other player disconnected due to desync.

It looks like you have a old version, you can solve this by newest version or delete retail/scripts folder and start the game by battlenet

Thanks for making this. I have 2 questions.

Does this mod (along w/the Vision Mod integration) solve the problem of Reforged units being hard to identify during melee, or is classic/SD still better for that?

Since apparently Vision Mod (and I assume Quenching Mod) is incompatible with Re-Reforged, if I want to later play Re-Reforged, is there a relatively simple way to disable Quenching Mod?

You can install and look at the launcher for those answers, simple ones are yes and yes.

Reforged is a 2026 version of WC3, you can still play the 20+ years old version of you prefer that but, yes, the Vision mod does a great job at making stuff more "IDable"... I have played WC3R for years now and have no issues with that, people just has to get their eyes accustomed to the CURRENT graphics, is all.

You can deactivate Quenching via in-launcher options, like I said, you just have to install and see for yourself. It is not hard...

Thanks for replying! I was just cautious about testing via installing, since some tools are hard to uninstall or disable, and I didn't want to risk messing up my Reforged install since you can only have one of those unlike your pre-1.32 installs.

Hi I am trying to run this mod on MacOS and have followed the guide provided. However, when attempting to set the path for Warcraft III which would be Applications/Warcraft III, I get a popup confirming that the path has been set correctly, but whenever I try to change the settings e.g. terrain style from classic to quenching in Settings -> Game, I get a popup saying the path is not found. As a result I can't seem to change any of the settings. Is there a way to get around this? Thanks

Edit: I am facing the same issue with providing the path for vision mod as well, seems to be a problem with pathing in general

Hi, I am having issues with the themes, they are not applying and I can only see the original TFT theme on the game's main screen, can you please assist?

It would be great to be able to disable the unit or hero swapping feature. Honestly, I prefer the one Blizzard provides in Reforged, but quenching disables it. It would be great to be able to enable the Reforged one if I'm not going to use the quenching one, which I find worse in some aspects.
Wait what? Please explain.
It would be great to be able to disable the unit or hero swapping feature -> you can easily set what you want
If you can show me exact picture I can guide you

The Quenching mod disables the hero skin swapping feature Blizzard added in version 2.0 (the one shown in the image). Quenching has its own way of changing heroes (and units) of the four races and Tavern heroes, but the Quenching mod has many bugs in these swaps. Furthermore, it changes the skins for everyone, while Blizzard's method is bug-free and only changes my skins. So, if I swap my Paladin for Arthas, I see Arthas, but if someone else has Uther, I don't see Arthas; I see their Paladin as Uther. That's why I'd like Quenching to have the option to enable Blizzard's skin swapping and not force you to use theirs, which is buggy and worse.

Ah I see now your point
Yes I agree
Maybe @Zorrot for the next update can you guys add an option for that in the model skins?
Like we have in the game settings to switch from old to new terrain we can have a button to enable/disable skin changing with quenching from the mod?
The default game selection does make your hero feel more unique in that way because the other player and yourself can see different skins
Quenching does change the skin but it shows the same one for both you and the player enemy.

I'll see what I can do, may be a switch to disable the skin function, you can delete unitskin.txt in units folder to get a quick result
