Quenching Mod

Quenching has been updated to 3.3. Download it from the official website. This release focuses on a Retro mode rework, terrain and tree switching, lighting and shader improvements, and various compatibility fixes.

Major Features

  • Retro mode reworked — all Retro SD units now have HD remasters; you can choose buildings or units separately
  • When Retro mode is enabled, other skins are disabled
  • Retro mode works with Retro terrain

*New Features

  • Terrain texture settings — switch between Quenching Latest, v1.6, v1.8, and Retro; each terrain mode uses its matching foliage variant
  • Tree settings — switch between Quenching Latest, v1.6, v1.8, and Retro
  • Melee lighting now uses shorter shadows for better readability
  • Foliage and HD unit shaders reworked for a softer, more natural look
  • Added an option to disable skins
  • Felwood terrain reworked

Fixes

  • Fixed Warcraft III root directory detection on Mac
  • Fixed skin display issues for Warband High Elf and related units
  • Fixed UI display when Classic mode is locked with Quenching / Carnival UI
