I tried to open one huge map with loads of decoration, units 'n' triggers. And I saw window:
This application has encountered a critical error:
Not enough memory to process the command
Program: e:\warcraft iii 1.26a\worldedit.exe
Object: WERandomGroupSet (.?AUWERandomGroupSet@@)

Press OK to terminate the application.

How can I solve this problem? :vw_wtf:

I know that lol. I meant is that how the encoding or whatever happens when u protect a map. That's always a side effect?

Well, to protect a map is to prevent others from opening it. So it is intended. iirc, vex's optimizer will damage/alter editor-only files [(ex) war3map.wtg], preventing them from being opened in WE but still allowing them to be opened in Warcraft 3 (because Wc3 doesn't care about the editor files when it is running the map).

It does various other things as well, and that is why the error appears when you try to open a map that has been protected.

EDIT: juno beat me to the post.
