Hello everyone!

Why are mapmakers allowed to open a poll only once without the option to edit it or remove it? As far as I know only Administrators and/or Moderators can do that.

Wouldn't it be better for the mapmaker to occasionaly open/close/change polls according to his needs?

Getting feedback is really important and polls are a great way to achieve that. Sadly we have almost none control over them.

It would be indeed better to have full control over polls. Just be it in the sake of decreasing vandalism and increasing feedback.
Although I doubt it is possible, because there might be some limitation due to sets of permission, user groups or vBulletin itself.
However I think you always can ask a moderator edit those polls.

This does not exist in vBulletin unfortunately. How would it work though? Assuming people have already voted on the poll and you are able to change the labels, you can rearrange the names so the majority of votes are suddenly cast on a different label. I mean if it was the presidential election and you could edit the names, you could just swap them and the losing one would win.
Secondly, what if people vote for their favorite X. Somebody's favorite is not listed and they vote on Y. Later, you realize and add X to the poll. The guy who voted on Y cannot change his vote.

A simple solution would be to enable users to remove any poll they've made.
If they need to update or replace a poll, they'll just delete the old one and create a new one in its place. This way it would not be possible to abuse the poll results.

I guess I didn't express myself well.

I seek the option to be able to change one poll with another. Removing one to add a new one. To have the option to remove polls at any time and add new ones at any moment.

Or in other words, these options:
• Open
• Close
• Add
• Remove

This would be pretty cool, but a kind moderator could do it too, if you ask nicely.
