ive heard that discussing map deprotection is an offence, but can we use models from deprotected maps?

Well for one, if you WERE going to do that i dont think you should say "The models in this map are stolen

Are we going to catch you? It's doubtful
However, most models in maps are either up for download, or made specifically for that map, so it would be mostly useless for anything besides that map.

Imo, you ALWAYS should ask their creator, if you can contact him.

Unless the creator made the models, then fer sure. Use them all you want.

And if the creator made the models, then you shouldn't, but you won't hear any complaints from me.
